Take a small pinch of salt, put your head back, hold your breath, and drop the salt to the back of the throat where the pain is. Bring your head to a normal position, let the salt sit a few seconds and breathe slowly at first then normally after a few breaths.

Avoid drinking/eating for a while.

The salt kills bacteria-- the breathing is to guard against breathing the salt in-which wouldn't be a big deal anyway.

You can do this up to every half hour or just a few times a day, depending.

Roll the sheet of paper up to where it reaches about 4 inches in lengh, stick it down your throat (without spilling the table salt at all) and pour it to that spot in your throat without gagging ofcourse. Don't swallow the salt, just let it sit. Best done at night. Sorry don't know who has honey or lemons in their house. Im lucky if i have syrup.
