  • I think the point is people are simply trying to be polite and nice to one another.

  • @RadicalVideos that promotes being dishonest and not true to one's self

  • @valsotto27 Well if you're not trying to be nice or polite, genuinely, don't bother saying it then.

  • I say Have a nice day to people. However, I still realize the choice is up to the person. I would rather someone wish me a nice day than a rotten day.

  • @connerjd then you should re-phrase it to "I hope you'll have a nice day"

  • @valsotto27 Good point. Have a day does nothing to me. That is just me, to each his or her own.

  • @connerjd Well you are missing my point. I don't want to wish a person to have a "rotten" day, I just leave it up to them to decide what type of day they want. I know personally I do not always want a nice day. Sometimes it is okay to just have a sad day. So I just keep it as, Have a day, same when I say "morning" instead of Good morning. That way the choice is up to the person.

  • @divinegerbs I don't understand why someone wouldn't always want a nice day. I don't see why anyone in their right mind would want a sad day. I understand if someone close to a person just passed away, of course, I don't expect them to be happy. As far as people who want to be sad and angry for no reason at all, I do my best to avoid those people if at all possible. That's just me, though.

  • @connerjd I just want to give the person the right to decide what type of day they want. If they decide that "hey, I wanna be sad and miserable day " then more power to them. But if they didnt want to have a nice day but an extraordinary day, then that is better than just plain "nice day"...personally I enjoy going above and beyond the "nice" part of the day...but like I said everyone can decide what type of day they want. If they want to be sad, stay away from them! :D

  • @divinegerbs We all have sad and miserable days from time to time. It is human nature. My problem is someone who carries it too far, someone who is bitter and miserable 24/7. I have run into people like that, and I hate to say this, if I was arounf them all them all the time, I would be tempted to kill myself. Of course, I would never act out on that. I don't believe in forcing people to be happy, but it works both ways. it is always a 2-way street.

  • @connerjd I understand how it feels to having someone upset and looking at the world in a negative way...it sucks...but that is their decision if they want to be miserable then let them. Just know who you would want to be around, and who you dont want to be around. Separate yourself from those who bring you down. But I still am saying to leave the decision up to them on how they want to be.

  • @divinegerbs I agree the decision is theirs.

  • *AT work. hehe

  • I am going to start saying "have a day!" and work to all the customers now! :-)
