I guess I'm horrible, but still after all these years, Sissel is still Ariel to me. (The little mermaid.) Not that Myrra Malmberg didn't do a great job with her of course... Anyway. I know the Cecilia's version by heart but it's the first time I hear the original. They do have a different beat to them, which means you just have to listen to them when you feel differently, and both versions will definitely shine in their own right. ^^

I love both countries and languages! Very nice of you not to accept provocative comments. Norway and Sweden are adorable, beautiful countries.

I love Sissel and it is the first time I hear Cecilia. I still prefer Sissel, maybe 'cause she has the original version, maybe 'cause I'm used to it, maybe 'cause I understand her words and she makes me cry!

But Cecilia is also amazing singer! Takk Tack! :)

I heared the swidish version when i was 6 and i loved it for a long time. Heared the norwegian version for a half year maybe.

I like Cecilia, but this isnt her best song :)

To a German the norsk version is much clearer. But then Sissel is from Bergen where tey tend to speak nynorsk...

You will not find any Norwegian speaking nynorsk unless he or she is trying to make a statement. Nynorsk is a written language made from many of the Norwegian dialects. Bergen is a bit special, the city was a Hansa-town, and therefor the dialect in Bergen is a bit more influenced by German and also a touch different from the rest of the western-Norwegian dialects. Sissel does not sing in nynorsk, by the way. More like standarised bokmål, apart from the R-sounds ;)

@lsyrke No, you won`t find under any circumstances someone speak either nynorsk or bokmål. Nynorsk and bokmål are defined writings. Norway in nynorsk is Noreg but not a single person in Norway says Noreg. That`s just one proof that nynorsk and bokmål are writings and impossible to speak.

@lsyrke I`m not trying to be harsh. Norwegians just don`t seem to reconize this fact. It`s pretty embarrasing. We start very good saying "Nynorsk and bokmål are writings" and then "but we speak nynorsk." How are forreigners suppose to understand what norwegian is about? How are norwegians suppose to understand our own language? We simply have to keep speach and writings away.

Kul att få höra orginalet från Sissel, hade bara hört Cecilias verision innan.

Trodde faktiskt att det var hennes som var orginalet.

Båda verisionerna är jättebra, men jag tror nog att jag gillar Cecilias mer, det är som Aranelsa säger, mer "drive" i den.

The swedish version has got a "drive" that the norwegian hasn't, but Cecilia doesn't sing in the typical scandinavian way. The swedish version you want to dance to, the norwegian you want to relax to. Cecilia gör en folkvisan poppig medan Sissel lyckas bevara själen i den. Vilken man gillar bäst beror nog mycket på vilket humör man är på. Tack för att du lägger ut/upp den här videon. //Sara :P

This was also a beautiful version of the original by Sissel. A bit different. A pity that I couldn't see her singing. Thanks for sharing, because this is one of my favorites of course by Sissel(see my favorites) . But now I know what she sings.
