you can make a brain with a fireball put a rubber band inside (around the transaxle) but you have to cut some of the rubber band to make it work .Caution it makes the lube wear off and doesnt sleep.

Hi yomegacorp, I would like to ask you 2 questions, How do you remove the fireball axle? How do you derust the axle? I'm asking these 2 questions because I'm going to refurbish my old fireball that I bought a few years ago.

If the Fireball axle is removed you will not be able to use it again. The best way to remove the Fireball axle is to use pliers and gently twist the axle out. Once the axle is out you won't need to derust it because it won't work in the yo-yo again. Yomega does sell replacement axles online for more information on replacement parts email info@yomega.com.

Most likely this is cause by the throw. Keep practicing and try to keep your arm straight when you thrown down the yo-yo. You may also want to make sure all the parts are in correctly and the yo-yo is strung properly.

Here is a couple reasons why this may be happening:

1. Back to the throw - just like the yo-yo won't return unless you throw it hard enough, it won't sleep for the same reason. Remember, in order to get the yo-yo to sleep you must get the transaxle to spin properly and the only way that happens is to give it a hard enough downward throw.

2. String thing - perhaps the string is knotted or pinched around the axle. You'll know this is the case if the yo-yo snaps back rapidly to your hand. If so, take the yo-yo apart, remove the string or knot, put the yo-yo back together and then restring it using the double loop method.

@kaab00m11 The Power Brain is auto return meaning it will come back to your hand automatically when thrown. The fireball is a transaxle yoyo that require manual returns - it will spin longer than a Power Brain. Yes, you should be able to do all the basic tricks with a Fireball

i remember these yoyos were very popular about 12 years ago when i was in the 2nd grade. back when i was 7 years old! this fireball yoyo was the one that i had my parents buy me so that i can bring to school and play with my friends. it brings back so many old memories. its pretty cool that people are still having fun with them.

As i stated earlier i just recieved mine yesterday and not it is much more difficult to return to my hand, i have properly lubed it with vasaline so does this mean that i have already worn out the string? How do i make my string last longer in the future? Thanks.

@SocietiesID when learing to recall a yoyo, know that you must "flick your wrist" upward in a quick and meaningful way. If you just tug on the yoyo it may not return well. Also, to return well a yoyo must have a good spin, slow spins equal slow or no returns. Lastly, when lubing your yo-yo be sure not to get lube on the string - this will effect its return. Keep practicing, you'll get it.

I have a fireball and i only had it for one day and when i try to do the sleeper most of the time it will just come back up. Im doing it rightn too. And when i do get it it stops spinning in like 5 seconds. Please help!

@jimmyhopkinns hi yoer, the Fireball is a traditional shape yoyo and they are best for beginner, intermediate and general all around play. Wing shaped bearing yoyos are best for more advanced string tricks like Brain Twister. For looping tricks like loop the loop or milking the cow or hop the fence a wing shaped yoyo will not work as well as a Fireball or other traditional shape yoyo.

@TH3B3STBURRIT0 they are both good yoyos but they are used for different skill sets. if you just want to learn the basics and enjoy auto returns the Brain is a great choice. If you have progressed and know how to sleep and return a yoyo then the Fireball is a great next step.

@agntx55 to get the Fireball to return you need to flick your wrist upward when the yoyo begins to sleep. Other things like stringing correctly and lubrication also need to be maintained. Please watch the help video for the Fireball in the help section at yomega.com. You'll get it, its not that hard.  Just keep to it and it will come to you.

err i hav a problem i got my fireball and they put way too much lube in it and when i unscrewed it it spilt everywhere and now after 3 throws it unscrews itself

@Lboy6000 you will need to snuggly tighten the yoyo together to prevent it from opening. Extra lube will not cause the yoyo to loosen but it will cause it to have slower spins. Remove lube if necessary with a napkin or qtip.

If the Fireball is sleeping in mid air you need to lube it up a little more. Also make sure the string in on properly. Have fun!
