Is it just me or are the much more older animes more gory, more violent and more disturbing than the recent ones? Anytime I ask about gory animes, people always recommmend something like Higurashi or Elfen Lied, but they are nothing compared to these ones........I mean damn, how many head explosions, decapitations and body seperations were in just this one vid 0_0

@WolfTheGamer i respectly have to dissagree. elfen lied was pretty damn creative with its kills, but it had a great story line. these are deffinately some effed up scenes but elfen lied was good, its something every anime fan should watch.

@merclydead Don't get me wrong. I didn't say Elfen Lied wasn't gory, that it had a bad storyline, or that it wasn't overall a great and emotional anime. :P

I love Elfen Lied, it is both sad and beautiful. The gore is certainly alot compared to most animes, however these more older animes just make me cringe when watching them. Plus most of the deaths were quick in Elfen Lied. It's the slow pacing ones that really get me. :D
