vtec engages at a certain time off the bigger lobe in the camshaft but when you eliminate it by using these cam shafts the two lobes it has are as big as the middle one in the original camshaft so when you have these basically its like vtec all day there's no engaging point at all anymore correct me if am wrong thanks.

Na first off that erratic idle isn't a open header it is a big cam if you listen at the consist loping of the cam. Trust me a open header Honda is a lot louder then than even a single over head cam is louder and i am pretty sure that is not a single cam.

actually, one very good reason for this is that oil pressure stays consistent during road racing which you dont want. these cam like the toda vtec killer cams are basically real proven racing cams, not only does it free up cam weight but its basically like being in vtec the whole time! lol
