@Jacobrester Not...quite what I meant. I was just citing the Civil War as a counterpoint, as you implied that state constitutions weren't greater than the federal one, and that the states wouldn't succeed. But...they already have. The only thing that brought them back in was Lincoln, really. Without his leadership we'd probably still be living with the CSA.

Besides, there's not necessarily any need for the states to break away completely. Just declare a state of semi-independence.
