Boomhauer's 'secret' actually would apply to real life. We 'nice guys' that never really hit it off with a woman are so afraid of failure, that we lose our own self-confidence.

In life, it isn't always about success. A lot of times we have to go through 20 failures before we break even.

Just like the d-bag you see with a new woman every week. We only see the victories, but fail to see that he had to go through failures as well.
