I hate when people say that Scientology is no different than any other religion. The idea that Scientology should even be called a religion is highly debatable. If it's truly a religion, then why do they advertise that they have Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, etc. in their "church"? What deity(s) do they worship? Since when does a real religion only reveal its doctrine to people who pay for classes to learn it? Even people who hate religion ought to see some glaring contradictions here.

Jesus was a man of peace not pain, why would anyone choose to be involved or to stay in this religion? The worst of it, for me, is losing my religion. The Scientology experience is very much like the movie the Matrix. LRH is like Morpheus, telling you what reality really is. I remember once my yoga teacher invited me to go see a lecture by her geru. I was very young at the time and going thru a fanatic religion phase and felt insulted that she didn`t recognize the superiority of my re- ligion and I let her know it.
