lol before he realizes he's on cam, kermit says he'll take ham on rye..or make that a grilled cheese. how he can be eatin ham when he dating a pig?? LMAO
Because back in 1972 they were trying to put the Count in as much material as possible to make him a popular character (like what they did with Abby Cadabby back in 2007-2008)
see they cant show this today because the pigs closed the door on froggie and that was rude.. cant have that kids cant handle it.. *sigh* tom n jerry are FRIENDS now, and wtf did they do to cookie monster?!
The only known copy of that sketch has a Noggin logo on the bottom. To avoid having this clip pulled, jonnytbird did something similar to what Sesame Workshop did, by taking the audio from the Noggin sketch, dubbing it onto a foreign logo-free copy, then reinserting a newer "News Flash" logo, except the one here is the 1974 version and the one SW used on their official current print is the 1986 version.
Now if only someone could find a logo-free copy of the original 1972 version of the sketch. Even if the quality isn't that great at least it would be neat to see (sometimes I'd rather watch a version of a skit uncut and in lousy quality instead of an edited version in higher quality, like the Monsterpiece Theater "Gone WIth the Wind")
Yeah, that was how it was originally shown in 1972. The version on SesameWorkshop's website has the 1986 News Flash logo plastered onto the beginning (this one has the 1974 title card)
Back then, he sure was. But that's what makes these "early Count Von Count" sketches so interesting. This one is most likely from 1972, when the Count premiered, and they were trying to put him in as much material as possible, like they did with Abby Cadabby this year.
Frank Oz and Richard Hunt performed the pigs as well. I also did a similar edit to the News sketch on "Elmo Saves Christmas," plastering the old NEWS FLASH logo onto the newer one, but I replaced the newer custom-made announcement with Jerry Nelson's classic "We take you now to Kermit the Frog with another fast-breaking news story!"
best new flash skit ever!!
seriously, the Count is just too damn cute!!

"Oh no you don't, come back here!"
I often felt sorry for that dwarf, as if the count was going to hold him (and the others)
hostage! For just counting, that's alot of banging around!

I love the part where the Count explains "One little person!" and Kermit gets all puzzled and then goes "Oh no!"

My Favorite part was Count von Count was counting the seven drawves and trashed their home.
kckwk 4 years ago
I liked it when the seven dwarfs ran out of the house and left with Kermit.

I liked the expression on Kermit's face when the three pigs slammed the door in his face.
Jamiepeavler 3 years ago 3
It does kind of look like rain at the end. Look how grey and dark it is.
Jamiepeavler 3 years ago
I agree. I guess the Count's thunder and lightning CAN truly affect the weather where he is.
wiley207 3 years ago
Yeah- he's a 'math person,' a?
