  • It is the perfect Gladstone rendition!!

  • 完全なグラッドストーン奏法だ!!

  • @sunogiisan in Engrish please

  • sweet....nice job, great sound!

  • And you are who?? Blaine yeah and I'm Obama

  • Sounds great!!!

  • Beautifuly sounding kit, man!

  • Now that's how you play drums! Excellent skills & stamina, & your kit & cymbals sound great! Are those Zildjians or what? Regards, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)

  • AHHHH... your 1st name is BLAINE!

  • THIS IS NOT HAL BLAINE

  • @Gryffin1000 I'm looking for Hal Blaine solo too.

  • Smokin' solo dude! I was not bored because you really kept it fresh with new parts all the time. You repeated some stuff, but it was spaced out enough that I wanted to hear more of it. Nicely done.

  • nice solo.......nice snare sound but UGH those Ludwigs, good thing the japs took over drum making

  • @nudgler What? That has to be one of the most clueless comments about drums I've ever heard in my 40+ years of playing drums. Most KNOWLEDGEABLE drummers would kill to have a vintage Ludwig, Gretsch, Rogers, or Slingerland kit from the 60's in mint condition. I've owned Tama, Pearl, and Yamaha gear and even today I'd rather have a DW or Fibes kit over ANY Jap brand. Credit the Japs with improving hi-hat, cymbal and snare stand hardware and tom holders, but for shells, give me vintage American!

  • @nudgler Yep, I'm with dougalmac54 100%.

  • NICE playing tex.... LOVE the tubs!

  • @Tikitiki200 thanks... Tex? LOL....do know you?

  • @SplitHoof No...I just got a Tex "vibe" from you.

  • Beautiful stick control man. Snare sounds great.

  • wow, thanks. No one has ever told me that before. I know its a long solo. It even bores me after a few. I try to do 3 -5 minutes now. Check out some of my others...oh, and the snare is a blck beauty knock off called a blackhawg.

  • Look up George Lawrence Stone in Wikipedia. Considered the father of stick control and rudiments. He has books that every drummer should have. I have the "Stick Control for the snare drum" book. Some "out there" workouts.

  • I have stick control. I took some jazz drum lessons last year for the first time and my teacher made me get it. I really need to hit the books again. Great method. take care and thanks for the kind words. They're few and far between on youtube.

  • solos are boring ..sry my view..prob good drumming...

  • dude. i play traditional too jeez i ordered drums i hope they sound as good as yours! hal blain ftw.

  • Splithoof, what year are your drums? I have a 66 set with 22x14, 16x16, and 9x13 with a supraphonic snare.

  • Very nice chops there! Great solo! 5 stars all the way. You might get a kick out of some of my "old school" jazz solo clips on here. I have a 1981 Ludwig kit. Anyway, Bravo Blaine!!!

  • Plz dont use Blaine's name in vaine....

    Sorry, couldn't resist..

    Nice playing, son.

Good looking drums, sounds good too, I have a white one, Ludwig has a distintive sound. I use the same drumskins as yours.

  • Sei grammo come la merda e l'assolo fa skifoooooooooooooooo!

  • sweet! I just picked up a set of these and am waiting to have them shipped! hopefully they'll sound as kickass as yours!
