For over 17 years, this was the BEST way to unwind while watching TV on a late Sunday evening [10:30-11pm(et)]. This episode originally aired on February 21, 1954, when Steve Allen was appearing locally {on WNBT, the NBC's New York affiliate} with a late night variety show [for primary sponsor Ruppert's "Knickerbocker Beer"] that eventually became "THE TONIGHT SHOW" on NBC the following September. The sponsor's opening commercial didn't appear until after the second contestant's game was over.

I'm not sure but judging from the fact that Steve Allen appears with Lucille Ball, I think this episode aired on February 21, 1954.
