  • "You're gonna need an ocean, of Calomine Lotion" probably the best lyric in original Rock 'N' Roll! R.I.P. Jerry Lieber

  • @Jim5150jvc the updated version of that line would be you're gonna need an oean of aloe vera lotion

  • These guys did a free casino concert about 12 years ago in Evansville, Indiana.

    It was so much fun.

  • This is the authentic soul spirit

  • I had the distinct pleasure of seeing these great guys in concert in Colorado Springs back in the 60s. Stevie Wonder was on the ticket as well, all of about 14 by then. AMAZING.

  • come check out RETARDS WITH RAYGUNS a horror doo wop band

  • you're gonna need an ocean of calamine lotion

  • its spooky

  • When I was in 5th grade I heard this song from a teacher. I heard it once and I never forgot it. Now I'm a freshman in college and this song is just as wonderful as I remember!!

  • im 16 and i love this song!

    even when i was 9 i did!

  • Now this is real singing, real entertainment, and real music.

  • Oh Yeah, one other thing -- The fact that this song is a euphemistic refence to venereal disease is well established. Check out the new book "Hound Dog" the Leiber/Stoller autobiography that just came out -- I couldn't put it down.

  • A Leiber andf Stoller composition -- they wrote a lot of the coaster's hits; Charlie Brown, Young Blood, Yakety yak, Love Potion #9, etc, etc, Not to mention: Little Egypt, Hound Dog, Jail House Rock for the king.

  • You have to love the Almighty Coasters

  • poison i heyeyeyeyeyyey

  • hahah 7 ppl sneezed and hit the button where it said they didnt like it...

  • In the Rock Era, I might add.

  • A #1 hit for The Coasters on the Rhythm & Blues charts. It was the 54th #1 song on the R&B charts.

  • this is hella good to listen to the oldies like this the coasters

  • They play this song at Ross.

  • Rack em Willie sings this song lol

  • Such amazing harmonizing in the vocals is what I think made Doo-Wop stand out so much to me. I love this music!

  • Calamine Lotion....Oh yeah, I remember that pink stuff.

  • great 1959 classic song for sure.

  • Jaysus!! Mr. Gardner.. Hats off to you my man!! For me the Coasters are the original cool..

  • Great song!!!!! Long life the coasters!!!

  • Poison Ivy is My favorite Coasters sog

  • RACK EM RACK EM RACK RACK RACK

  • cant touch dis were talkin pre Mc donalds

  • @y00sta : This, the original version by the Coasters is the best. However, my friend, Mickey D began in 1940, with a restaurant opened by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California. Their introduction of the "Speedee Service System" in 1948 established the principles of the modern fast-food restaurant.

  • @bytetek We used to drive over from Riverside just to hang out at the Golden Arches in the 60s.

  • @MrStrictlyStock then suck on some guys cock no doubt :- )

  • 45rpm single for sale on Ebay

  • RACKBALL

  • hacen una version en castellano los straitjackets

  • @bu1letpr00f It This song has been interpreted to be about sexually transmitted dieases especially of late. But I do believe that it's ideal was to be a song about a song about a "won't do right" woman. Anywho, music as any art form is to be interpreted differently by everyone. It is a great song, though! :)

  • rack em, rack, RACKBALL!

  • rack em rack willie did it better

  • I saw these guys 2 years ago at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Vegas. They were outstanding!!

  • The singer 2nd from left is Carl from the Coasters and sang on the record - some of the others may be originals. None of the people appearing at the Sahara were on the hit records.

  • PLEASE YOUTUBE can you post a verson

of RUN RED RUN by the Coasters. Also

    Little Egypt.

  • I think there are 4 different Coasters groups on the road because none of the original guys can get along. Very sad.

  • shame on youre husband;)

  • ROCK AND ROLL MAN!

  • anybody know the 90's version with some rap group??? can't remember the name of the band, HELP!

  • @SKRIBLSKULL Young & Restless was a Miami Bass Hip-Hop Group who did a cover version back in 1990

  • i think is better the version in spanish (: but this one is cool too!!!

  • I like Funky Chicken's version better

  • And they still sound good. They had a "Caribbean" sound in their rhythm on their recordings. The horns detract from the original song, but they still sound phenomenal.

  • one of my favorite groups with a very nice song.
