My only regret, that I didn't linger longer in Bayamo and the Sierra, rather than rushing off to Santiago after only three days (one in Bayamo, two up in the Sierra @ Sto Domingo y La Commandancia. Bayamo is worth at least a week. Wonderful shaded central plaza and pedestrianrian mall radiating from, including whimsical art work. Recommend the vegetarian restuarant on this mall. Its laid-back atmosphere a good contrast Habana and Santiago. Plan to return for a longer visit.
