I grew up in a small little town called yeehaw junction right up the road from okeechobee I went to high school in okeechobee. I used to love going to the flea market and buying stuff off of the seminole indian ladies. On the weekends me and some friends us to go to the lake and hang out. All a big part of my life. Ive since moved away to virginia but there are somedays it calls me home. Great Video!!!!

as a uk citizen we all love florida but not aware of floridas history. after visiting last year i decided to research some history. i realised why we have osceola county police force . i wasn't even aware of any inhabitants before the area was commercialised. i suppose it is like most of america. next time i visit i will try to take in some culture...

Very moving, I love this song and use to walk to one of the battlefields of the Seminole, the few years I spent living in Florida some of my friends were half Native American and myself about 1/4. Florida felt more like home to me than here where I was born, I still get homesick thinking about it and have wonderful memories of places that were protected from development. Florida in its natural state is a beutiful place. I believe your cover of this song is the best I have heard. Thank You

I was in Fla. for a couple of months in the 70's, I caught 2 gar hook through their eye My uncle said they dont bite but,they are curious and look closely to bait, hook whatever but,if not for that I would not know exactly,what a gar was.Most people dont.I learned that in the land of the seminole.Those were the only 2 fish I caught.

Nice singing Ron!! But FYI... at the end of the chorus the word is "GAR" not "GULL". GAR is a fish that lives in the cypress swamps and gator holes. I have never seen the correct Karaoke lyrics, but now you know. And besides the lyrics 'AND I KNOW WHO YOU ARE' rhymes quite well with 'ALLIGATORS AND THE GAR'. lol! Keep up the great singing!!! 5 stars!!

seminole people, bless them, were displaced and pushed to florida as a result of european take over..tequesta people and calusa people lived in florida east and west..it seems few people(of all colors classes races) in florida are aware of this fact..a people without knowledge of their history is like a tree without roots..

I have a horse named Seminole when i first knew of a song dealing with the Seminole tribe my mom said playfully there was a song about Seminole sence then i was curious to hear it so now i found it and i love it my favorite people are the Indians i dress Seminole like a indian pony but now i can't because the dogs tore up her feather hair peice.
