@growguyuk. Yes I did buy it online, havent actually had it delivered yet. If I dont hear from them shortly, I might send it back unwrapped. Thanks for the info.
Ive just agreed to pay £349 for this guitar yesterday, and now find it reduced to £299.......one day later. Are AndertonesMusic taking the piss, or what ??
@branjasp If you bought online, you have a legal right to return the intem within 14 days-provided it is in the same condition as when you purchased. Its called the "Distance Selling Regulations"
Todays Epiphones are the very best in top professional quality most certainly some of best guitars in the world. Epiphones only down fall is that there so under priced for the top quality they deliver today. I would never choose Gibson over Epiphone today
I've just taken delivery of one these guitars, and for the money it is an absolute bargain. I've been using Gibson Lesters for the past 33 years (I currently have two Standards) and the Epiphone, compares favourably, considering the price. Anybody thinking about buying one: snap it up, before they are all gone.
@ChaosBurnsWithin No but you can use any AB line selector to achieve the same thing. The one he uses in the video costs about £130 but if you search our website for Boss AB-2 you can pick up a pedal from Boss to do the same thing for just £35
@ChaosBurnsWithin while stocks last and then no more! But We're only giving away the extra bundles with those sold before end of December. You get a Neutrik Jack Cable, Guitar Stand, and padded leather strap included in the £349
does anyone have any advice? I wanna buy an epiphone les paul and i am looking for the Epiphone Les Paul custom... is it a good guitar to buy as a second guitar?
@JEUXolim I have the Ultra 2, the Nanomag gets you into some impossible for the other Les Pauls sound, and the finish (midnight ebony) is quite spectacular too... But it's no Gibson, of course (you get what you pay for). Anyway, everytime that I comment about Daniel Adair or the "vocals" of Matt Roberts or anything, you are always there to reply (*disagree), and I was just surprised to find you here, too. Keep on rocking...
@Adiaf8oros Ohhh I see, you're the one who likes Daniel on drums. I love Greg on drums, I think he fits the band better but I can see what you mean, Daniel was amazing and I liked his back up vocals.
I own this guitar and I have to say that it has the most amazing sound you could imagine! If your looking for a guitar you can't go wrong with thi one! It really is a thing of beauty.
makes me wonder why they dont make a version with an FR pro and 24 frets and have everyone get one of these. cuz itd be the only guitar we'd ever need. who's with me?
@ChaosBurnsWithin I kinda disagree, floyd roses are sometimes more trouble than they're worth. I prefer a grounded bridge, tightened to be sitting right on the body.
This demo is a great example of the tones you get by running this guitar into only an electric amp. For a great demo of what it sounds like with an acoustic amp and an electric amp, watch the Official Epiphone Les Paul Ultra 3 Demo. two amps is the way to go for great acoustic and electric tones. Hope this helps clarify this.
@TheArik199797 No, you can use only an electric amp like he is here. but, an acoustic amp for around 300 bucks definately sounds way better. The offical epiphone demo they do just that. Either 2 amps, or a pa, i'm not sure. Kinda confusing i know.
i'm sick of seeing fucking new guitars with all this useless technology in it. just make a guitar that really sounds good like they used to. give a guitar real tone, not a fucking USB port.
@fallout3yeah I have a schecter and it is great for its EMG pu's but EMGs only sound like EMGs. I'm looking at one of these to diversify the sound of the guitars on my home recordings. I think 1 guitar with EMGs and 1 with AlNiCos or AlNiCos w/acoustic is a great combo.
its cool to have a rhythm knob, cause when you turn it on you can play nothing but rhythm which is a neat feature if you know you cant play solos, by turning the knob to full in live situations, you wont even try playing solos and you wont dissapoint the crowd <3
Nice guitar! I like the way it sounds. Thanks for showing the acoustic and electric sounds from the guitar. The selector switch looks very simple. It's just as simple as the tone switch that's on the guitar. To me, the rythme / lead switch that's on the upper part of the guitar works great as well. So the selector switch and tone controls give the player nice tone options.
What do you think can be the advantages/disadvantages to having an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra 2 instead of a regular Les Paul with a piezo bridge system?
electric guitars are meant to be fun to play and easy to use. The last thing I want to go when being in the middle of a gig is have to faf around with the control knobs to get the perfect acoustic and electric sounds. Its hard enough doing that with just normal pickups. Its a pain in the arse to have to switch on and off the pickups using the control knobs. IMHO this is more for the poseing factor
I didnt get it... how does he switch between the dist electric sound to clean acoustic?
I mean, if the dist is coming from the amp than both of the acoustic and electric gutiat sound should be with dist. Does it plugged to 2 different amps? or he got a pedal between the electric guitar output to the switcher? or the electric guitar is dist only?
@236987451 It is very very simple. The electric pickups' sound goes to an amp and the nanomag's sound goes to another, so with two amps and a selector switch you can bounce between sounds. And if you're playing with just one amp, you can just simply turn on and off the pickups you want to use.
was thinking of trading off this guitar for the new santana se, this is really my go to guitar right now but would love better access of upper frets and the trem of the santana. I have a variax on order but it will be probably fall before that comes.
With what kind of fender can we compare with This ultra 2?, cuz i'm thinking to buy a jaguar special hh, jazzmaster special or this epiphone ultra 2. Please people give an advice here or send a message to my inbox.
@hassekarl I have it and love it. Very beautiful (I have it in midnight ebony), and with the nanomag you can achieve tones impossible for other LPs... Even some Tele sounding tones! (Y) +You can separately plug the nanomag into an acoustic amp due to the 2 jacks the Ultra2 has... I could use some more treble in the Bridge pickup, but it's fine, after all you get a LP, you expect it to have a fat sound... But damn that guitar is versatile.
HMMM. He could be using two amps, but the nanomag pickup does clean up the sound because it has less output than the humbuckers. It sounds clean even on a dirty channel, like turning done the volume knob. But you could be right.
This is a sweet guitar!!! I just got one a couple of weeks ago. You can get great classic rock tones, and with the right amp and distortion pedal, great Modern rock and metal tones. Add to that the Nano Mag pickup, wich you must use an acoustic amp or go into a PA for really Authentic Acoustic tones, and the awesome finish and feel= ONE GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY!! And anyone who says you can't play rock or metal with a semi hollow guitar... EVER HERE OF TED NUGENT??? Old school Nuge though.
This actually sounds almost exactly the same as my fender strat ..if I mess around with the tone and pitch and the pick ups..it sounds pretty much the same :P
If he is using an overdrive channel from his amplifier, why when he changes the output with his selector switch the acoustic pickup sounds without any distortion?
Go for an epiphone. I just got this guitar in the same color. You can find it for $749 at Sweetwater or musicians friend, Guitar center ETC. Go to Sweetwater, they have an guitar gallery and you can pick the guitar you want by Serial Number. They also do a 55 point inspection and give you a 2 year warranty. Excellent service. This guitar is really great!!! It weighs nothing and sounds really good!!! Youll love it!
who knows the amp???? Marshal??? because i want to buy a Line 6 Spider IV 75, so i want to know the best one for have like all the sounds, from clear to distorted song from Ozzy...........
so you're planning on buying a line 6 huh? Well, I have one and I still play it, cause I aon't gt something else... But I really don't recommend them (the spider IV)(I also ave a 75w) Instead you should save up and go for a marshall MA (50w or 100w combo, 50w or 100w head) I really regretted buying the line 6... In the beginning it's oh wow! all tose sounds! But if you play like a few months, your really bored...
So I recommend a Marshall MA 50w combo! (all - tube!)
If you use an abc morley pedal, you can run the stereo outputs to an amp and an pa system, or acoustic amp. It does sound more acoustic like this way. All you have to do is experiment a little. It's still one hell of a sweet guitar for the price.
BITCH BITCH BITCH BITCH BITCH BITCH BITCH!!!!This is a good sounding guiatr, and it doesn't cost a lot, so stop with the bitching. If you don't like it, don't watch it, or buy it. BRING ON THE RUDE COMMENTS....HEH HEH HEH!!!
@MoveTutor Fucker, he said '' you can bounce from electric guitar sounds, to acoustic guitar sounds simply by using a selector switch'' 1:50 , gay as fuck because it has no way a sound of an acoustic, it just sounds like clean channel with some FX.
@Macsk8ing yeah that is what i was thinking, that is why i have both electris and acoustic, you cant fuckin simulate an acoustic unless you use a peizo, and the last time I checked parker and one other company are using those on there guitars!!!!
I was gonna get a epi custom but this is only £30 more. Gonna put in some dimarzio 35th aniversery pickups and triple shot rings to make even more versitile maybe a kill pot too :D
can you use any footswitch, or do you have to use a specific one? i have a marshall mg4 1x12 guitar combo amp, if i do have to use a specific one, can you tell what to use?

It's just as simple as the tone switch that's on the guitar. To me, the rythme / lead switch that's on the upper part of the guitar works great as well. So the selector switch and tone controls give the player nice tone options.

236987451 10 months ago
@236987451 It is very very simple. The electric pickups' sound goes to an amp and the nanomag's sound goes to another, so with two amps and a selector switch you can bounce between sounds. And if you're playing with just one amp, you can just simply turn on and off the pickups you want to use.
qwertyuiop46853 9 months ago
@qwertyuiop46853 But lets say i play with one amp, and i use the amp's built in distortion...
And i plug in all the pickups to this amp... The acoustic sound will be distorted!

@236987451 When you use all three pickups on mono, you get some tones reminiscent of semi-hollow/hollow bodied guitars. Glad I could help.

who knows the amp???? Marshal??? because i want to buy a Line 6 Spider IV 75, so i want to know the best one for have like all the sounds, from clear to distorted song from Ozzy...........
Thanks!
GiuliYear95 1 year ago
@GiuliYear95 hi,
so you're planning on buying a line 6 huh? Well, I have one and I still play it, cause I aon't gt something else... But I really don't recommend them (the spider IV)(I also ave a 75w) Instead you should save up and go for a marshall MA (50w or 100w combo, 50w or 100w head) I really regretted buying the line 6... In the beginning it's oh wow! all tose sounds! But if you play like a few months, your really bored...
So I recommend a Marshall MA 50w combo! (all - tube!)

Thats a awesome guitar..

If you use an abc morley pedal, you can run the stereo outputs to an amp and an pa system, or acoustic amp. It does sound more acoustic like this way. All you have to do is experiment a little. It's still one hell of a sweet guitar for the price.

@Macsk8ing
He's using an electric guitar amp, retard.
MoveTutor 1 year ago
@MoveTutor Fucker, he said '' you can bounce from electric guitar sounds, to acoustic guitar sounds simply by using a selector switch'' 1:50 , gay as fuck because it has no way a sound of an acoustic, it just sounds like clean channel with some FX.
Macsk8ing 1 year ago
@Macsk8ing yeah that is what i was thinking, that is why i have both electris and acoustic, you cant fuckin simulate an acoustic unless you use a peizo, and the last time I checked parker and one other company are using those on there guitars!!!!
