I use the pen tool and outline the letters, instead of drawing them in, I use the stroke feature and the line remains crisp, make sure your fill is on the layer under the outlines. That way it will remain sharp without getting pixelated.

how do you neaten up the construction lines and make them look crisp?

obviously its on a layer from the background so the rubber would work keepin the background but wen i try the lines arent neat?

@BigV887 thanks, as far as vector, no, it's just that I use the pen tool without any feathering to give it nice sharp lines. Then when I color it in it looks very much like vector. It does look sharp though thanks.
