The group harmonising is fantastic and hauntingly beautiful. Their music and guitaring is good. I bought this 45 rpm record in 25/12/1969. Wonderful memories
mnlwrnr, that guitar on the left at 1:13 looks like a Roland G-707 Guitar (Synthesizer). At 0:27, I can make out the G-707 label.
Alan Blakely was my favorite Tremeloe. He is the third guitarist from the left in this video. In all of the videos I have seen of the Tremeloes, he always smiled and seemed to be enjoying performing the most. He not only sang lead and backup, he also played the drums, guitar and keyboards for the group.
Sadly, Alan passed away in 1996. Rest In Peace Alan.
Rick unfortunately has been unable to do the falsetto part for years. He wrote me about that. How long ago was the vid? Must've been before Chip left...and of course before we lost Alan.
LOLOLOL. man, that's a great song, but i couldn't get past the Beach Boy (Mike Love?) being cut off like that. LOLOL. that was too funny. and the interviewer, man, that guy looks like he died a few years back and came out da grave for a hot minute to catch the show. Scuse me, my stomach is hurting from laughing. GOOD SONG!

Erm no i am not.

It's not the original recording. It's a re-recording, maybe even done for the show, but it's lip-synched.

Go to Google, click on the Images link in the upper left corner, then search for Roland G-707 and you will find pictures of what it looks like.

That's a Roland G-707 guitar synthesizer.

It would have been nice if they did the whole song.

Just realized that's not Chip, that's Davey Freyer, who replaced Chip until about 10 years ago. They've got another guy on bass and vocals.
rockon1898 2 years ago
Davey Fryer left The Tremoloes arround 2005. Current bassist and singer is Jeff Brown, who was a longtime member of The Sweet before.
