Simplicity is often a key concept I think. However, we are looking at artwork that is merging tradition and modernity. Not all of these gardens are my favorite, but I give credit to the designers for expressing themselves. They are showing people that their preconceived notions of what is or isn't "Japanese" needs to be explored a bit more. Some of the gardens were busy, but others were more thought provoking and relaxing. Thanks for watching

Some of these look to fussy and crowded to be Japanese. They look a bit hectic, rather than peaceful, IMHO.
