  • I want it!

  • is that a commodore 64 monitor ?

  • @NESHero

The monitor used here is an Apple IIe, which is a color composite monitor designed for the Apple II computer, but is NTSC standard so it can work with any composite source that is also NTSC standard.

  • Just watch Blue Ray will be obsolete one day and VHS will be back. disks break and you cant fix them VHS tapes can break but you can fix them

  • just as guy in movie pushes button on remote, u turn off camera..its like HE turned it off lol

  • thats an apple monitor

  • What is that tube chassi next to the monitor?

  • @vttv01 Its a small 2 channel single ended 6v6 amplifier I built some time ago. The audio is playing through it.

  • vtr

  • Holy crap that is the most badass VCR ever made!

  • i have a FVH-730 it has recently died, does anyone know were to find parts or anything for it?

  • What kind of parts? Belts and capstan pinch wheels are pretty easy to come by.

  • @InternalVoice the thing is dead, all i get is a half lightned display screen on the VCR its self, no power to anything else. one of the boards as a little crack in it, i wonder if that could be the problem?

  • @GHWTVideos

"Studio Sound Electronics" Fishers are easy to find brandnew parts for them, being they used the same transport on alot of different models

  • That is not a VCR, numbnuts. That is more like a....damit, can't rememer name but.....

  • It is not a VCR, Video Cassette recorder came before VHS, it was a square looking tape cartridge. Anyone who has ever called a VHS (Video home system) player a VCR is wrong.

  • i love the top loaders. by the time we got our first vcr they were front loading ones and it was a teac.

  • that vcr is good for its age

  • Is that the Fisher FVH P 620 ?

I have one exactly like that only in a different colour. Very good machine.

  • big old machine good picture and built like a tank

  • They dont make them like that anymore!, nowadays u buy one and ud swear walking out the door that the box was empty! so light and flimsy nowadays!

  • Have one in my closet.

  • The VR2020 is a nicer VCR

  • My dad bought this model in 1983/4, and paid $549.95 Canadian.

  • for sale?

  • haha, we had one of them until a couple of years ago, i loved that thing

  • I found one of those, It always ate the tape and the tracking was shot. But I liked how it loaded tapes though. Back in the day it had to be awesome, Just like getting a BluRay now. I had to give it away because my parents thought it was crap and didn't want me touching the insides things that can be pluged in at that time. x(

  • if its eating tapes then the idler wheel is gone. quite simple to fix. you can find a complete idler wheel and belt kit online for $15

  • Or, if the idler itself doesn't have cracks or flat spots, you can even attempt to resurface the idler tire by abrading the contact surface of the rubber with sandpaper.

This should be done only if you really need the thing to work now for short duration.

The idler and other old, worn rubber parts should still be replaced with fresh parts to ensure reliable operation in the long term.

  • Thats a nice video

  • YES DIE HARD!!!

  • Our first vcr in our family was a top loading Fisher just like that one. It was built like a tank and lasted a long time.
