  • the bigger the better americans are dumb

  • here in the philippines we have the family computer because of asian market..and for me the NES version is much nicer than our family computer..but they have the same power and very enjoyable to play. i also have the NES (us version). miss those days. so nostalgic.sorry for bad english.

  • the Us verson of metal gear sucked Ass! you dont even fight metal gear at the end of the game!

  • @Saiyuki204 Yes, and if you think the version of Metal Gear released for the famicom was any different, that's not true. Metal Gear was released for the MSX.

  • at 0:39 you misspelled nintendo...

  • arent ppl who watch this video generally more advanced or knowledgable? good video but too detailed with obvious and really slow

  • Why is Japanese stuff always so much cooler??????? Burgers aside, they invented Godzilla, Pacman, and anime!

  • @bandaloo1

They didn't invented anime(which is basically an abbreviation of animation.) Although I do agree the famicom is better than the NES RPG and sound wise. And I hate it when Developers have to censor their games due to Nintendo of America policies!

  • i had to get rid of my nes, tired of changing the pin set so it doesn't blink... my famicom on the other hand works like a genesis, starts up right away.

  • saying "LED light" is like saying PIN number.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode

and PIN stands for Personal Identification Number

By saying LED light, you're basically saying light emitting diode light.

Just like by saying PIN number, you're saying Personal Identification Number Number.

It's something that far too many people do, and defeats the purpose of an abbreviation.

  • It would be good to play some of the nes japanese only games, on a famicom or famicom twin.

  • as kid i had the famicom not nes because i was from dubai

  • Is it me but does the famicom look a little like the bottom of an old vacuum.

  • wow.. talking about classic.. hahahha .. i remember using Nintendo Family Computer in the philippines has so much games in 1985 .. Games that Nintendo Ns doesn't have.. hahaha lols

  • Lol, "Nintenedo" :P

  • how can the famicom be so much smaller then the NES? I mean damn its like a pack of cigs vs an xbox 360... size wise

  • will the retro duo clone work with the dsk system with an adapter?

  • Probably. I never tried it, but it should work.

  • @dommiesan No, the NOAC on the RD does not recognize the MMC on the FDS's RAM cartridge

  • channel 1 is channel 95 in the us and channel 2 is channel 96 in the us

  • nes or snes rf adapter for famicom

  • dommiesan, @ 01:43, did you pull the NES game pad by the cord?

If you did, that was very wrong, you should pull it by holding the plastic connector plug, and this will reduce the risk of damaging the inner wires of the cable and extend the life span of the controller pad.

    Nice clean video.

  • Nah, I yanked it out by the hard molded plastic plug.

I'm paranoid about the controller wires. I don't even let anybody wrap the cord around the controller when they're done playing with them. That can damage the wires over time as well.

  • Very true!!

I have some of my relatives and friends who barrow some of my collections from time to time, It grows tedious telling them the 'Do and Don't(s)', and it is unhealthy for my stuff not to do so, many of the peripherals are hard to come by.. and I am one of those who never say NO!! "^.^\

  • God, I love living in America, you Got NTSC, NES and Very different life styles than Eurasia

  • lol at 6:50 he sounds like hes sayin assholes.

  • I've tried that A/V connection... But I could never get it work to work!!! And I know how to work the connections!!! Can someone please help me on that!?!?

  • My NES doesn't have the same connections, European style FTW :D

  • That's the music to Section Z at the beginning!

  • metal gear was butchered on the NES

    but anyways, nice review

  • Both systems are very special to me :).

  • it says Classic Nintenedo!?

  • rofl top gun

    nice btw
