here in the philippines we have the family computer because of asian market..and for me the NES version is much nicer than our family computer..but they have the same power and very enjoyable to play. i also have the NES (us version). miss those days. so nostalgic.sorry for bad english.
@Saiyuki204 Yes, and if you think the version of Metal Gear released for the famicom was any different, that's not true. Metal Gear was released for the MSX.
They didn't invented anime(which is basically an abbreviation of animation.) Although I do agree the famicom is better than the NES RPG and sound wise. And I hate it when Developers have to censor their games due to Nintendo of America policies!
i had to get rid of my nes, tired of changing the pin set so it doesn't blink... my famicom on the other hand works like a genesis, starts up right away.
wow.. talking about classic.. hahahha .. i remember using Nintendo Family Computer in the philippines has so much games in 1985 .. Games that Nintendo Ns doesn't have.. hahaha lols
dommiesan, @ 01:43, did you pull the NES game pad by the cord?
If you did, that was very wrong, you should pull it by holding the plastic connector plug, and this will reduce the risk of damaging the inner wires of the cable and extend the life span of the controller pad.
Nah, I yanked it out by the hard molded plastic plug.
I'm paranoid about the controller wires. I don't even let anybody wrap the cord around the controller when they're done playing with them. That can damage the wires over time as well.
I have some of my relatives and friends who barrow some of my collections from time to time, It grows tedious telling them the 'Do and Don't(s)', and it is unhealthy for my stuff not to do so, many of the peripherals are hard to come by.. and I am one of those who never say NO!! "^.^\
I've tried that A/V connection... But I could never get it work to work!!! And I know how to work the connections!!! Can someone please help me on that!?!?
the bigger the better americans are dumb

saying "LED light" is like saying PIN number.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode
and PIN stands for Personal Identification Number
By saying LED light, you're basically saying light emitting diode light.
Just like by saying PIN number, you're saying Personal Identification Number Number.
It's something that far too many people do, and defeats the purpose of an abbreviation.

It would be good to play some of the nes japanese only games, on a famicom or famicom twin.
