You had some pretty funny jokes, but the timing was off. Keep going and your timing will improve. I'm doing my first time tomorrow (which is why I'm here), and I'm scared shitless.

I guess it was alright. People laughed when they were supposed to, but I did a lot of standard jokes and was afraid to do some of my harder material. My second time was a lot better. I compared myself to Jesus, talked about beating children, rape, and the holocaust. Oddly enough, a lot of people laughed at it. It was nice.

I was scared shitless before my first time. My second time, I was still scared, but I felt more confident because I knew approximately what to expect and I didn't have a horrible first time. I'll definitely do it again some time, but I'm trying to write new material every time I go on. Louis C.K. said that's how he got good.

Material is solid. Timing needs work but that is were experience comes in. Just keep working you material in front of a crowd and try to control your rhythm and speed. I know this is hard to do when you are nervous in front of a crowd. It will take time but this is exactly why people who want to make it in stand up will get in front of a crowd every chance they get.
