So you used a piece of plexiglass with tracing paper on top, and put the projector, camera and the 2 illuminators underneath? Are that the only materials you used?

Which webcam did you use that has this wide angle lens?

@Pvsmuntje i used the v-gear talkcam tracer ccd webcam. It has a screw in lens that can be changed. I bought a wide angle lens for use in security cameras (cctvs).

Doing research and thinking of building one for myself. However, the one I have in mind will be like 36" x 36". How thick of a surface (I assume acrylic) did you get? Some other specs show 5mm, but at 36"x36" I'm thinking more along the lines of a half inch; possibly sand frosted as my diffuser rather than vellum or tracing paper.
