  • Actually, we still went out there once a week through the mid 90's. The train was 234 from NYP to Buzzards Bay on Fridays and train 235 from Buzzards Bay to NYP. It was a six car metroliner set. The first stop after NY was New Haven, where they changed engines and received passengers. The next stop was Providence, RI. The majority of the passengers got off there.

  • The train was named the Cape Codder. Ridership dropped after they stopped running a dedicated train. They made passengers ride a regular train to Providence and transfer to a MBTA shuttle. That killed everything.

With the gas prices being what they are, and 95 being super congested, perhaps the time to restore the Cape Codder has arrived.

  • I guess there's not much happening in Buzzard Bay. Hahahahah. sorry.

  • Not since the new highway was built about 20 years ago that takes everybody around the town instead of thru it. This video was made about 20 years ago. Things are slower now than they were then. The most happening thing now is the biker bar on main street. Buzzards Bay used to be alive and kicking.

  • It operstes several times a day ill try to put a video up for you
