  • Hey can you give me some information about your robot thanks :D !!!!!!

  • What tracks? We are an FLL team and these are the missions from last year. If you are speaking of tank treads, we don't use them. They aren't accurate though they are cool!!

  • where did u get the track and all the stuff?

  • My team(Just Wing It) are going to the 2011 FLL state! We got tenth out of 42 teams! We're going to Flint MI for state.

  • My team(Just Wing It) is going to state for the 2011 FLL. And we're a rookie team! We got tenth out of 42 teams! The top twelve teams go to state, so we did great!

  • Perfect Execution! Nice job guys!

  • Omg we are huge fans will you be doing food facter this season we watched this last season and were all awe struck AWESOME AND AMAZING. thats what you are

  • @FlyingCougarCyborgs Thanks! yes we are doing Food Factor! In fact we just started 10 teams within the most violent city in the United States! We just put on a workshop for all of those teams as well! The funny thing is our team always does well on the playing field but we are known for our Teamwork and Core Values! Currently we are State Champions in Inspiration!

  • @maltz1881 Good luck, thanks for replying. If you go to our youtube channel you can see our latest video of us completing our missions.

  • Great job I just did a robotics study and we did those exact missions!

  • @MsNatattack22 Thanks. The kids worked really hard on this and even up to the moment they went onto the playing field they were "tweaking" it.

  • the heart patch and pace maker will not count and also that thing u have to squeez will be uncounted

  • Wow!... Thats all I can say.... By the way, can I have the directions on how you built the attachment to acomplish the Bad Cell Destruction mission?

  • @Soccerstar754 We don't have directions per say. One of our FRC kids gave a suggestion and the FLL kids just played with it.

  • WOW that was really good . our robot is only small and we only get 8 things done on the mat but that was crazy. With the heart you cant have it in a box when we have provincails they tolded us we werent not aloud to have it. And i think yee should of got picked for the worlds we got picked and everyone is sooo happy to go all we need is 30,000 dollers to go

  • @technovikings11 Good Luck. I wish we were going. Everything you seen on here was perfectly legal.

  • No offense, your never gonna get the mech arm. Our team got it withing 4.8 seconds. That should always be the FIRST mission you do.

  • @beatlesfan831 We got it in competition. No offense taken! :)

  • Wow. Our design was a forklift and our team got 17th in Nebraska! :) I loved that design, yet it was really complicated

    Nice Job!

  • cool!!!

  • my team and i have a competition in two weeks and we are psyched!

  • i hape a compitition 2morrow and it's to see if we go to st.louis!!!we'd be representing NOVA SCOTIA!!!! soooo exciteddd!!!!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey can u show me pictures of your robot please i want to see the back part of your robot and and bad cell destruction of your robot

    thank you so much

    Rahul

  • for the heart mission, u cant do that cuz the black patch has to be within the heart and only the black thing on the pacemaker can be in it and your attachment doesnt do either of those things required for the mission to be completed. besides, the judges have to be able to move the piece for the board without moving anything else (thats attached)

  • @NWHPjpplayer1 That was perfectly legal.

  • @maltz1881 yes that was i just finished my compition and we had one like that and it was just fine

  • ooh thanks

can u give me closer photos of the robot

i am being inspired from you

    please

  • In the rules it is written that we cannot drop any extra part in the play mat !!!

    u didnt followed this??

  • @fanoffarmville Actually you are allowed to leave something in the play mat. Otherwise points would be deducted from both the heart and the robot itself.

  • HOORAAHH!!!!!

  • Do you go to the World Festival?

  • @MissXylo No though we placed very high, they only allow 1 or 2 teams from our state to enter the World festival. We were very close though.

  • the video is cut shorter and the white blood cells were not facing up

  • @MissXylo how could they have gone to world? thats not till like april... and we just finished our super regional

  • hi guys you are doing an incredibble job there!

i hope to see you soon in amerika!!

greetings team Smart Mol1 From the netherlands! ;)

  • @yourii11 That would be wonderful!! Happy Holidays to all the wonderful people in The Netherlands!!

  • @maltz1881 did you get in to the USA national championships this year

  • is that EVERY SINGLE mission?

  • @joridancer yes there arnt many

  • @joridancer no he didnt do the red arm

  • no 400 the white blood cells were not facing up

  • @thepianoguy49 ? it dosnt matter because he didnt do the arm mission!!

  • 0:26 are you sure thats allowed.... pacemaker and the patch on a tray or some-sort... i need to know...if you could help please

  • @Bhayla It is absolutely allowed. You are even allowed to turn the tube on the pacemaker inward towards the heart.

  • @Bhayla It is absolutely allowed. You are even allowed to turn the tube on the pacemaker inward towards the heart. Everything is touching the ground

  • awesome

  • GOSH!! u guy's are awesome !!!..i'M really IN LOVE WITH UR robot !!

    i wish u all the best !!

  • @Lameesjambi1234 Thank you so much!! We had an incredible season. I am sorry to see it end. The kids did an amazing job!!

  • GOSH!! u guy's are awesome !!!..i'M really IN LOVE WITH UR robot !!

    i wish u all the best !!

  • Omg You guy's are awesome !! I would hate'd to be against your team :D

  • @Magiprest Thanks, we had a great season. We did really really well. One of the greatest aspects was a chance to even help just 1 team be more successful!!

  • Excellent job guys, good work (:

  • hey

can u upload a picture of the back part of the robot

i dont understand how it works!

    please thanks

    and add me on fb

    give me your email id

  • @maltz1881 Oh I did not see that it was over and not united. Well, nice job guys, wee see on april 2011, we just classified to the competition in Chile last saturday. We are goin to meet there I think, weel we're seeing, sbye

  • @sixpack719 We competed today at our State Championship. We did VERY well but alas we didn't advance to the World Championship. We wish the team who did make it in Michigan nothing but the best!! Go to St. Louis and show why Michigan teams rock!! Good luck sixpack719!! That is awesome!!

  • @maltz1881 Hey I am from Minnesota, on team AH-HA. We did not compete this year or last year, but for 2008 climate connections we placed in the top 3 at state, and almost made it to nationals. It was pretty bittersweet. Anyway nice work, you make me want to do lego league next year but I am a sophmore and therefore too old. B-T-Wubbs why does your robot come back to base just to take off that little attachment?

  • @someone2777 We bring it back to base to change attachments and to give it a new starting point. Why not find an FRC team ore a FLL to help mentor? I am sure there are numerous teams out there who would love some help!!

  • @someone2777 There is a older level i think. because i will be to old next year and i am looking into the older level because it is really fun.

  • @walker833 FRC or FTC is fun!!

  • @maltz1881 Oh I did not see that it was over and not united. Well, nice job guys, wee see on april 2011, we just classified to the competition in Chile last saturday. We are goin to meet there I think, weel we're seeing, bye

  • @maltz1881 Oh I did not see that it was over and not united. Well, nice job guys, wee see on april 2011, we just classified to the competition in Chile last saturday. We are goin to meet there I think, weel we're seeing, bye

  • How to you put the cast on the common bone repair? Please reply asap

    -Thanks

  • @mesut1997 We back against the wall between the hand and stent to line up. Then we drive up to it, give it a little push so it is put back together. We then set the cast down and do a little shimmy. We have just 2 short rods holding it on.

  • Amazing!

  • @RajaieNassar Thanks!!

  • Hello guys, nice work but think that its violating the rule of interlock I think, allyhou the change of pieces in the middle of the video is to big, so I dont think that you will have the total of the points because of the time.

With my team we make 375 points, Check it out on our facebook : Everbot equipo robotica

  • @sixpack719 The rule state that if a ref asks to see the part detach it must fall off. It can't snap on. If you tip it over it totally falls out. We have participated in 2 competitions so far and we are well within the rules. Congrats on the 375 that is great!!

  • hi again me are you using color sensor or do you suggest me to use it for this year??

  • @ugurakgul1905 Hi Me again!! No we don't use a color sensor but we do use 3 light sensors. There isn't a lot of color on the table. Take advantage of all those wonderful black lines on the field!!

  • Like, how did u guys build the thing that pushes down on the bad cell destruction.. like how did u make it go down?

  • @PS3OWNAGE1 Well I can't tell you how the kids built it but I will say that we use the black things that look like jacks. One of our FRC students noticed that if you spin the jacks it spins the cell.

  • @maltz1881 ohhh ok well I understand why you can`t tell me, But thanks! we will just have to try the best we can to try and get the bad cell destruction one to work. :) Good job again guys!

  • @maltz1881 ohhh ok well I understand why you can`t tell me, But thanks! we will just have to try the best we can to try and get the bad cell destruction one to work. :) Good job again guys! wait lol (edit) how did you make your follow the line one so accurate. because we have after trying our team, but it keeps wobbleing back and forth so hard. And it is hard to control.. Help please :) AHAH

  • @PS3OWNAGE1 Check your settings between the dark and white.

  • Hi everyone, I need help! Some of our teams best programs have stopped working! I've checked the attachments and they are fine. Any tips would really help, our competition is this Saturday. :0

  • @FLLkid YIKES!! Delete all the programs in your NXT including all the backgroud files. Turn it off and then restart. Reload your programs and make sure that you wait until they are all downloaded before you do anything.

  • why did you not started with the mechanical arm??

the team on the other side will take it if you don´t hurry.

    just asking...

  • Since this video we have changed things up a little. We are going for the patient arm first and we are using one attachment to drop the bone bridge and kick the ball at the same time later in the missions . We also built a shroud around our lights to protect from outside light differences. We than reduced the size of our wheels for a more accurate count for distance. A little tweek here a little tweek there gets us closer to the end results.

  • Ok but like dude... uhhh.... how did u make the robot push down on the things for the bad cell destruction??! haha

  • @PS3OWNAGE1 We push down with three equaly spaced legos on the black wheel next to the bad cells (look like jacks) than back up the robot and lift up to clear to go to the next cell.

  • @PS3OWNAGE1 We turn the black jack for lack of a better term. A member of our FRC team noticed it when he was playing with it. When you turn those it turns the bad cells. The FLL students built an attachment around that.

  • Ok but like dude... uhhh.... how did u make the robot push down on the things for the bad cell destruction??! haha

  • how is this robot balanced

    ??

please give me photos of each side view so that i can study it

  • from my experience most teams go for the patent first and you go only later so you would get 375 points only. but i love you robot : )

  • i ask cos im using RoboLab 2.9 and im not sure if its the best

  • what programming software do you use

  • @Gamer4life29 We use the Mindstorm program that comes with the kit. Labview is the basis of that program.

  • Here is a programing tip from the White Wolves. Make each of your mission programs a myblock. than set them up in a program in sequence of how you do them. In between them place another myblock with a wait until (orange button pushed) and a display block showing "ready for next mission" in that my block. When your first mission is completed you will not have to look for your next program it will be ready to go, just push the orange button . This will save you time.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. It gave my robotics team a clue that someone can actually get 400 points and also I think it gave them a slightly competitive attitude (no offense I hope) and we are really shooting for 400 and are coming very close. Our updated score is 360. Best of luck to you in your next competition and thanks a lot for motivating us to get better!

  • @FLLkid hey i m from india i need so much help making the fll robot U be my coach my mom is a teacher of lego mindstorms in schools. she needs very much help making the robot can u help me making a robot that gets just 300 points?? thanks Rahul Vyas india
  • extremely best!

    is program tough??

  • @fanoffarmville Programming is fairly easy but it does take time. The kids know the program inside and out. Every child on our team does some programming but we also have our "main programmers'. The kids work on programming 4 days a week which leads to 10 hours a week. They have done this for approx. 2 months.

  • extremely best!

  • That is awesome. we were the best of Cleveland last weekend on December 4th. but i recommend you ; do not show your robots until competition done. some body can copy it.. how many motor it includes??

  • @ugurakgul1905 We love to help other teams! That is part of G.P.!! We use the standard 3 motors. We have been contacted by teams from around the world and nothing thrills us more than helping those teams become sucessful!! If they copy so be it, that is fine with us. We refuse to give teams step by step directions of what the kids built. They need to figure that out for themselves. That is awesome what you have accomplished!! Keep it up and best of luck!

  • @maltz1881 thanks for helping us and to other teams. our the biggest goal is to be a team like you and to help other teams all around the world. that would be awesome.

  • @ugurakgul1905 Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I am sure your team will be sucessful. Our goal is to make sure every team gives it their best!!

  • Hey. how did u make the thing that brings the medicine to the brainn? :S and awesome IF we get picked, we wont be going to state world festival until near the end of April :( hope we get picked though.

  • @PS3OWNAGE1 It is just a simple rod. We always tell the kids to remember KISS Keep It Simple Silly!!

  • you guys are good

  • this video realy help us with our problems on some of the missions Thanks finnaly we can get past 300

  • @JMFization You made my day!! That was the goal of this video, we knew there were teams who had some real issues with this game. Mostly those Bad Cells!! Though it was the cast that gave us the hardest problem. I will let the kids know, though they are also on here a lot. Best of luck!!

  • Wow you guys are amazing. I''m on a robotics team from Hawaii and i can only get about 270 points :( Luckily, my team made it through our regional competition and we are going to the state competition in December. I would welcome any tips you could give me. They would be appreciated

  • @FLLkid 270 is awesome!! Have fun is key to all of it. Teamwork is the most important. I think teams tend to forget this. Without teamwork you aren't going to be succussful in anything. Everybody has a role on the team, everybody needs to define those roles and make sure they accomplish what they set out to do. Realize that Teamwork encompasses 100% of your team goals!!

  • can that do that in the time limit of 2:30? if so GREAT JOB

  • @Genralspud Sure can!! We have a total of 6-8 secs left over!!

  • You guys are really good! We won our provincials and Regionals, so now we are just waaiting to see if we go to the United States :D I hope we do!

  • @PS3OWNAGE1 That is awesome!! We have our state this weekend!!

  • wow, you guys did a great job. I know a lot of teams who are struggling with the missions, but you pretty much own the board. Where are you guys from again???

  • Where are you guys from?? My team is having a hard time. We only have 120 points so far =[

  • @NXTdancer We are from Fenton Michigan. There is nothing wrong with 120 points. I look at it this way that is only 25% of your total score. If you have issues on the field work on it sure but make sure the kids know what they are talking about to the engineering judges. Th kids need to know Team work through and through!! Most important though...Have Fun!!

  • @maltz1881 would you mind my team emailing you? or..could you (or your team) give us some programming and building tips? (if you have time)

  • Well done guys & thanks for uploading the clip. Our team is made up of 9 year olds and they've had a go at some of the missions without using any of the sensors! (managed 240 points in practice - with a lot of luck). Hopefully seeing videos like this will inspire them to learn more about robot design for next year. Keep up the good work and good luck in this years competition.

  • @Impossible910 My kids worked very hard on this. They view this all the time as do other kids/teams. I am appalled at your language. If you are part of FIRST, then where is your GP? Please I implore others not to follow this person's lead. I am blocking you and deleting your post.

  • @Impossible910 Please Watch the language, Kids are looking at this video.

  • dang our robot only get arond 70 points

  • @Impossible910 oh yeah you caught us! oops! :D

  • OMFG!

  • If my team makes it to the finals, I would hope we do not face your team!!!!!

  • that was soooo AWESOOOOME!!!

  • Any body needing help with FLL robot building and programing the White Wolves have a web site under there sponsor team 1322. Visit the web site and go to the Tech Tips page to Legos.

  • Very impressive. We are a first year team, with two first year coaches. We are not anywhere close to where you guys are. Any advice for newby's?

  • @wramsey1000 Most importantly have fun!! Make sure the kids do the work with guidance from the coaches. I would check to see if there was an FRC team near you. If there is I would ask for a few of the high school kids to come help out. Work a lot on Core Values/Teamwork. Without teamwork you won't be as successful as you want. To me that is more important than the robot or project. Make sure your kids know the meaning of Gracious Professionalism, they will be asked!!

  • How did you make sure the cast pushed the bone closed? I have found that the ends of the cast are very fragile and break easily.

  • @icycoldfire123 They are very fragile. We had it fall apart more times then we could count. We push the bone slightly then place the cast on it. When we place the cast we do a little shimmy. That seemed to help a lot. The cast for us has been the toughest.

  • my team got 1st award in prodject and qualifiyed ti the next round

  • @TheCubeMaster123 Congrats!! We have quailified to make it to the State Championship. I believe we placed 4th overall out of 47. Our project is what is holding us down. Teamwork we had perfect scores. We won for Mechanical Design and came very close in Programming.

  • Don't you have to hit the nerve on the west side of the brain before you open the door by hitting the nerve on the south side?

  • @exodus21v20 You can do the tasks in any order you like.

  • My team just went in the qualifier and we got 1st in best over all 1st in project, 1st in technical,3rd in teamwork and 3rd in robots because the lighting in the room was to bright and our light sensor would not work we have everything done except the bad cell destruction. My team is Pre-engineering Coastal Bio-medics AKA PCB were in Panama City Beach Florida

  • @redbaron19461676 We did very well , broght home a trophy for mechanical design and also qualified for state. Our team work was perfect but we had trouble with the robot on the field. It would work great in our garage and in the pits but out on the competition field it just went crazy. I think lighting had a lot to do with it. We are raising our gear ratio and relocating our light sensors for better lighting numbers.

  • how long did it take u and did u use bluetooth

  • The rules say that only the eye must touch the matt

  • @maltz1881

    yes rules say that!

u must read each and every rule

please help me making the robot

    add me on fb:

    rahul.basketball@yahoo.co.in

    and

please answer my questions to the same email id that i used for facebook!

  • very impressive. when using a frame to put the cardiac patch pacemaker and bionic eyes do they all have to touch the mat to count?

  • very impressive. when using a frame to put the cardiac patch pacemaker and bionic eyes do they all have to touch the mat to count?

  • @oisink64 The rules say that only the eye must touch the matt

  • No we didn't use Blue Tooth at all. Yes we can do it all within the 2.30 minutes with a whooping 6 secs left!! Believe it or not it was the cast of all things that gave us the most trouble. Something so easy was the toughest!! TY for all the wonderful comments. We have heard from teams all over the world. Out of the 7 kids we have only 1 is a veteran. They picked it up so quickly.

  • BLUETOOTH!

  • Awesome job White Wolves!!!!! Very impressive.

  • Awesome job White Wolves.

  • can you do it in 2:30 minutes with all the changes of the robot in the base?

  • Are you allowed to use 2 light sensors and 3 motors? I thought this was against the rules?

  • @EricAliceHuang Actually, this year you can have 3 light sensors and 3 motors. Usually it is 2 and 3 though.

  • @hastypete Thankyou HastyPete

  • @EricAliceHuang No you need to use 3 motors and this year you are allowed up to 3 light sensors. 1 of which can be the color sensor.

  • What is your time? Is it under 2:30?

  • Comment removed

  • I have seen about 25% of the teams going for the hand. Only 1 other team beat us to it. We have a practice competition in Michigan that we attend every year. The stent does count. You can attach anything to the piece this year but you must prove to the refs that it will fall off if you flip it over.. ours does. Thank you everybody for all the great feedback. We have had inquiries all over the world about this video. I have given the kids the task to help other teams as much as possible.

  • i think you did 375? everything exept the stent..?

  • didnt they did 375? everything exept the stent..?

  • as a coach i did 200 for 0.5 hour , than i mess up and show my students that it is possible. If i had this video before i would show this instead of mine......Great job, great design , great programing,

  • great job, i am truly impressed by this performance

  • We have change the missions and the hand is first up. For the stent it just slides off the rod, we use the rubber band to help get the rod off our robot so it will not disrupt the next mission.

  • @maltz1881 Hey White wolves, Where are you going next? (if youre still in FLL) me and my team are in need of some great ideas for FLL in norway, and we saw your robot. Please give us some valuable ideas?

  • @tossenbossen Six of our kids are new to FIRST. Our only girl is a veteran. 3 of the kids will be moving up to FRC in Dec. We will also go to the State Championship in Dec. Give me a more in depth question of what you need and we will see if we can help you!!

  • @tossenbossen 1 of the best ideas is to really push teamwork/core values. We work on that almost every meeting. Without those your team won't be as successful as they could be. We have been working with teams from all over on how to teach teamwork. We try to make it fun and exciting. 1 exercise is to have the kids in a circle just high 5 and tell each other great job. It gets them into practice. Something so simple!!

  • @maltz1881 The hardest thing is probably the Bad cell destruction. Both making the light sensor work in the NXT, and making an object to flip the plates.

  • @tossenbossen The Bad Cell was actually 1 of the 1st items we tackled. To be honest 1 of our kids on the FRC team told the kids to build something to turn those black thingys (great terminology!!) that look sort of like jacks. They played with a few attachments to come up with the arm they have now.

  • @maltz1881 We have problems of stabilizing the NXT. The uncomplicated broken bone sems almost impossible of solving without having the vehicle going straight. The vein is also a bit complicated with this problem, since we put it in the back of the vehicle. The complicated bone is also a bit of a pain in the *block*, its hard to get the steel thing inside the bone, then drive back and go make the goal. (that makes no sense by the way) we need answers BEFORE friday. Youre the best. Electric lights

  • @tossenbossen Have you thought about running it into the wall to square it off then run forward into the bone to drop the cast. For the stent you are allowed to attach something to it that will fall out. We grab ahold of the rubber band that is on the vein with a pointy Lego. On the bone bridge use a roller to run along the wall to guide you then go forward drop the bridge into place. Then back up and kick the ball!! GOOOOOOAAALLL!! I hope this helps you out. BTW we drive backwards as well!!

  • @maltz1881 Thanks guys. Cya after Norway

  • nice guys keep it up
