But he never left the house before the cops showed up so the gun must still b in the house. right? Where is the gun that was used to shoot his wife? I've seen the movie so I know where the gun is and I think thats the best part of the film how he managed to do it.

Hopkins is the best. I cry every time Ted has a last conversation with his wife... so painful. He plays them all nicely through the all movie. I understand the ending completely buy I’m still on his side. “I took both bastards with one bullet”.

Just finished watching this movie on tudou and it was really good! its something i would definitely recommend watching....even though the ending kind of left you hanging wanting more...it still left you satisfied in a way that you knew what was going to happen...also for people who liked this movie i recommend watching "Murder by numbers" also with ryan gosling because its just as good as this movie. :)

This movie is really good but the ending was a little disappointing to me. I'd like to see how someone kicked conceited ass of Anthony Hopkins. Anyway all the actors showed brilliant acting - Ryan Gosling, Anthony Hopkins, Billy Burke and Rosamund Pike.

Anthony Hopkins in this movie acts as if he is the smartest man on earth cause he swaps the cop's gun with an identical gun (glock .45) that has never been fired. Just brilliant!
