China is in Tibet for one reason to mine it.
Gold was discovered there a few years before the invasion began it also it has been China's primary supply of rare earth metals in recent decades.
The CCP is no better then Saddam was in this respect.

Western media reported Tibetan violent riot with utter bigotry. 2005 France civil unrest was a riot, 2000 Breton Separatist Bomb killed a McDonald's staff in Quevert, France was condemned. 2002, Chechen militants seized Moscow Theatre, killed 129; 2004,they seized school in Beslan, 320 deaths, these are terrorist acts. 2004 Madrid train bombing, the suspect ETA/Basque separatist wasterrorist, but when Tibetan rioters/thugs burnt, looted and killed in Lhasa, are protesters. This is China bashing.

This really fused the spontaneous Chinese nationalistic show down to support the torch. The overseas Chinese are not political, but with such media distortion,a reaction ensured.Hard to imaging same kind of bigotry in 2012 London Olympic if an IRA/Scottish separatist knocked a disable English torch bearer down.bet the western media would be doing what they should have been doing all along ie condemn the hijacking of Olympic for political propaganda,instead of encouraging another Munich incidence
