The main problem is when he like everyone else besides Leona Boyd gallops right through the opening phrasings. It's a maxixe, and has a feel, a real ding-dong on the opening bell notes and with marked emphasis on the last two notes on each section endings!

I'm pretty sure you can play it better, you don't catch the full atmosphere of the peice, in my opinion.

THis one of my favourite pieces but I have always played with dotted division of the rhythm part reversed to give it more of a bossa nova feel in contrast to the musette feel of the original. This is the first time I've heard it played this way by anyone else!

I have watched the Carlos Barbosa Lima version al lot. But he is a pro of pro's.

I like your personal touches and also the great overall sound. With a bit of reverb as in Bream's chapel. You must have invested in a very good microphone.
