  • this is crazy i am in algebra 2 honors and i cant figur out how u got 10/9

  • 3/4 th of the rectangle area is shaded and is given to be equal to 5/6 so the toatl area of the rectangle must be 5/6 divide by 3/4 giving us 10/9

  • an easier way...

    assume that the rectangle can be divided into 4 even right triangles.

    once this is done, it will be clear that 5/6 is the area of 3 triangles. Divide 5/6 by 3 to obtain the area of 1 triangle (5/18)...multiply 5/18 by 4 to obtain 10/9
