I understand some people have fallen on bad luck and do deserve money from taxpayers to be able to get back on their feet, which is fine. But the thought that I will spend nearly 18 years training and working so hard to be able to get a career and a life while being able to support myself and my family while paying for people like this to exist makes me sick. @LoosingTuch In Spain, the spanish goverment looks at how much money people have paid in tax in the past and they get an income measured with their tax (to put it simply: the more tax you paid, the more benefits you get) if you havent paid tax in spain or very little tax, your not entitled to benefits at all.
That system could work in the UK.
