It's up to us as a society to stand up for what we believe in and if we believe in changing the world to make it a more peaceful place, I think that we all should be able to do that. As for democracy, the united states is a REPUBLIC - read the pledge. This is a form of representative democracty and it works pretty well - look at France who are on their ... is it 5th or 6th republic after WWII and Vichy France.
As for Ian's comments - I'd like to know which major political frontrunner has actually changed anything based upon input form YouTube - the VOTE is what counts, Ian, not rheteroic. To be HEARD you need to WRITE / CALL someone.
