  • your hunting with a bow , NOT A HIGH POWERED 30/06 RIFLE the deer doest give you a clear shot ..fuck it .i don't care I'll put an arrow in it anyway..hope for the best.....LOW-LIFE you and your load mouth mate.

  • you suck m8. a miss would of been better than that shot. learn to pass up, ur a better hunter if you do. you're terrible

  • 95% of archery hunters could make a more accurate shot then that at 60 yards... you guys are unbelievable.

  • I butt shot all my women.

  • Bad shots do happen, this one worse than others. It wasnt a good idea to post this video. These are the videos that antihunters feed off of.

  • thats pretty much why bow hunting is illegal here in germany -.-

  • @41stgaming Why is that because he killed the deer?

  • @trey8047 no, because its considered too much suffering for the animal

  • You shot and recovered your deer that's real hunting ...nice work..

  • "texas heart shot".............lol

  • jebane cioty oby was ktos tak ustrzelil

  • would u think 40 pounds with a rage would kill a deer

  • @brownanddown100 NOOOOOO!!!go with a fixed blade with low poundage trust me me and my buddy argued anout this and then he LOST a 130 in 8 pt, and he was shootin 50#

  • @brownanddown100 It can if you place the shot right. But id highly suggest you try to move up poundage for the deers sake. Hearing a deer cry out in pain from a bad shot or from a shot thats not gonna kill it but only hurt it will keep you awake all night. Higher poundage will make deeper shots to hit the vitals. Your goal is to take the deer down as fast as possible.

  • work on ur shot placement bro

  • Typical bowhunter, even though they wont admit it. Just shoot and hope for the best!

  • @skunkapotamus you dont have a clue what your talkin about, even though you wont admit it, just make stuff up and hope for the best, typical antihunter!

  • @Bassmaster26107 hahaha best reply i've read ,,for a long time.

  • Pretty awesome. We put up water troughs and feeding stations. So I guess we have a one up on the Asian, eh?

  • Speaking of uneducated. You didn't know man was put here to rule over all animals? You do know how to read since you did make a reply. So instead of searching the internet for videos of deer being shot & assuming people are uneducated. Maybe you should read one of the oldest books in the world and educate yourself.

  • @Labyrnthdom

I think that Christians have misinterpreted the word "dominion" to mean "take," rather than "to watch over with stewardship." And I subscribe to Buddhism, which was around before your "old book." An emperor named Asoka who ruled Asia 300 years before Christ practiced something we call Buddhists "compassion." Even though he had been a blood thirsty warlord, he changed his ways. He became a vegetarian, he even installed water troughs along the continent for wildlife. Awesome, eh?

  • You are sadly mistaken.

Humans have a soul, animals do not have a soul.

All creatures are here to be ruled over by man.

Can't argue that. The rest is all opinions.

  • @Labyrnthdom

Yeah, your little ass self is superior to everything? Who told you that, your mama? LOL. Probably don't even have a college education.

  • Drexel does it look alive upside down? He hacked a shot, shit happens, he did the right thing and track it down

  • alright deer but west virginia has the biggest none farm bread deer by far

  • those rage broadheads are bitch broadheads shoot a damn deer with a thunderhead nd see how far it runs

  • Wow that's a real bad shot. However I am glad you made a great effort to recover the animal. That is the best part of this video.

My hat is off to you for that sir. Now let's work on that shot. :)

  • @Labyrnthdom

When you kill a deer, remember: A deer's family is all it has in life. So when you kill one... There are others missing it.

These animals, like humans, give MILK to their children. They're mammals.

They feel deeply, and their FAMILY BOND is all they have.

They don't have guns, video games, cell phones.

This is all they have in life, the bond with their family. While the hunter goes home and gets online, the family of this deer is still missing its deceased loved one.

  • i have had shots like this my self just like everyone else that bowhunts. it happens

  • answer your phone hahaha

  • as long as you ate it. Everyone misses a shot now and then, that cant be avoided.

  • @MooseDaAirsoft

  • @benthread All I can do is laugh at that statement. How do you know this is not how he gets food on the table for his family.

  • guys u obv dont know how hunting goes its not all about shooting it perfect i mean it was a nice buck, thats why u take a shot, hes obv more comfortable then u are to shoot something that thin at dark almost when u trac it thats when u come back the next day and then track it. nice job on the hunt!

  • You guys who say he needs help are wrong, if you hunt, when you see a big buck or almost any deer, you get crazy adrenaline and you dont think about things. So shut up, he did wahat he could and he got a nice deer.

  • Don't show this. Bad shot not humane. You should really stick to a gun until your bow skills improve.

  • yup i shot a deer in the ass with a muzzy mx4 this year and never found it tracked it for 500 yards or more

  • well if your just going for backstrap and antlers then wtf shoot em in the ass.

  • you gotta shoot em straight up the ass, give em a little texas heart shot

  • hey it happens when you bow hunt, if you bow hunt long enough you will have a bad shot once in a while, congrats on the recovery, and nice buck!

  • Actualy a deer will die alot faster if it hits a certain artery in the ass than if hit broadside

  • All u fukin tree huggers shut ur damn mouths a kill is a kill its better than being hit by a car. nice deer dude!

  • why did u shoot it in the ass

  • Kills a kill, and to all the lib hunters who drive hybrids and are crying that this wasn't ethical blah blah stop it. The guy messed up, big deal! Its not like the local deer heard is going to call Al Sharpton, The ACLU and PETA and take this man to court on charges lol, ITS AN ANIMAL gimme a break. Hell its better he get an an ass shot than hit by a car just to walk off and die of an infection or paralysis.

  • So here's what I want to know: if you shoot a deer straight up the butt with a gun, what happens? Does it kill the deer, or just tear up the insides?

  • @HEIGHTSIXFIVE it will kill it

  • aye man a kill is a dag on kill, it wasnt the best shot ever but if he's on the ground thats all that matters, and yawll caint tell me that yawlls never made a bad shot or missed a deer, i mean come on

  • i like that ray Charles could of found him

  • the only part of this I don't like is where he says "thats a fine bow kill" .well not really. It was kinda sloppy. Bow hunting is about being close and making an ethical kill.

  • It happens! Hey, at least you stuck with the tracking and got your deer. Congrats! I'm used to shooting small Florida deer myself.

  • hey ive had a few bad shots before. dont listen to these guys. look at at their display names for cryin out loud. weedsmokingjimmy?? they have no idea. good job by the way. big fan of RAGE .

  • @everythinghunting yah your right just because i smoke marijuana im a terrible guy and i cant have an opinion! Even though you probably come home everyday and tip back a couple of brews or even take a couple of shots. which by they way thousands of people die and suffer from something called alcoholism. On the other hand no one has ever died from marijuana alone, nor does it kill no more than you drinking a beer. You can also be fully functional on marijuana, what can you say about your DUIs

  • dude your a terrible shot man you should not be hunting

  • probably tasted like shit did u puncture his shit sac?

  • A kill is a kill. Good job. Still humane, he bled-out quickly. Hope he tasted wonderfully!!

  • Hop off this guys ass!! im sure u guys have had a deer jump the string, maybe this guy had it twist as he released, or got busted from moving too much. dont judge before you know the facts, come on.

  • not like he did it on purpose and you guys are saying it unethical..??? if u fucktards knew deer anatomy you would know that there is a malor artery running through were he hit it deer didnt suffer did the job meat on the tabel thats that

  • 175 pounds? you gotta be kiddin me. probably 120, 130.

  • Alright guys, I am the guy who recorded this vido. if you don't like the video please don't watch or comment on it. The hunter used a compound bow and not a crossbow. I am not sure how the xbow comments originated? He is used to shooting really small FL deer, so this shook him up quite a bit. He didn't mean to take a poor shot but the fever got to him. Also he said the buck turned on him as he released. If you hunted enough, then you probably have experienced similar situations.

  • @flhayz05 Just to let everyone know i am a butcher and when a animal is shot with a broadhead almost no meat goes bad because it is the same as cutting the animal with a knife. its a clean sharp cut unlike that of a rifle. only retards try and shoot deer in the neck with a bow.

  • @flhayz05

When you kill a deer, remember: A deer's family is all it has in life. So when you kill one... There are others missing it.

  • @flhayz05 well said, gotta be honest. I was gonna 'let fly' a neg. comment but, what do i know

  • @flhayz05 I had a doe do that to me on a recurve hunt that I got drawn into, I drew back she turned as I let go & it hit her in the hip just like this video shows. There was no blood, the hunting office told me to let her lay & look for her in the morning, she would be 40 to 50 yards from the last place I saw her. The next morning I found her just as they said. My arrow got far enough up in her that I got some liver and I hit a main artery. Bad shots happen that's hunting.

  • @flhayz05 "The fever"? If he can't hold off because he gets out of control, he should NOT be a hunter, he should NOT be carrying a gun.

  • @HoS777 Really now?! Can you not see the length of the wound. The animal was killed with a bow. A kill is a kill. At least it was harvested and not left in the woods to rot. who are you to judge who gets to be a hunter or not. Jealous much?

  • Alright guys, I am the guy who recorded this vido. if you don't like the video please don't watch or comment on it. The hunter used a compound bow and not a crossbow. • @flhayz05 but why did he shoot it in the butt?

  • shouldn't shoot what you can't kill even i know that i am a hunter

  • Back in my younger years I shot at a huge buck that was 28 yards away. When I shot, the deer did a complete 360 and ran 2 steps before the arrow even got there. There was a reason my friends called the Hoyt Rebel XT the "twanger." Maybe this deer did a rotation before the arrow got there. We don't know all the details.

  • let he who has not sinned cast the first stone!

  • there goes the meat, not a clean shot but there meat other place too.

  • bad shot , not even the worst case of buck fever can cause this , he just f$%4 up .... props for finding it tho ... nice job on that one haha ...

  • que bosta de video mané mostra vc disparando babaca

  • wow man did it move when you shot or? you would have to jerk the bow pretty bad to make it go that far off from the lungs. glad the deer was found.

  • Big arteries in the rear...... if you are trying to kill something, and the only shot you have is a butt shot, Take it.

Stop bashing this kid for putting food on his table, If you can't handle it, don't watch it.

  • @000slander000

there like one big artery and its usually luck when you hit that. dont take a but shot on purpose.

  • horrible shot and you said it was dark. You guys are not bad hunters for taking the shot but bad hunters for posting this video. It makes us look bad in the eyes of non hunters.

  • Bad shots happen, not condoning this shot, but a lot of guys on here making statements that have made bad shots. Anyone that has missed had the potential to have a bad shot

Some might be surprised to learn that Fred Bear, probably the most famous archer, his favorite shot was the hip shot, cutting the femoral artery and making for good blood trails and dead critters.

  • maby next hunt tommy will fuckin wash the fogg off his glasses so he'll know which way the deer is facing..........

  • "Young Buck"

  • you dumb ass, idc how big the deer is, u never ever take a fucking ass shot, that is inhuman and just unethical, i agree, see ur fucking bow and don't go back out

  • nice buck, glad ya found it! next time just get a vitals shot :P

  • sell your bow you stupid jackass! why would you take a shot like that?! you make the animal suffer for 400 yards because you SHOOT like ray charles!

put him down with a good double lung or a heart shot, he wont go 50 yards.

  • nice shot :)

  • how far where u shootin. shots this far off shouldnt happen.

  • 175 lbs? you're on crack! 140 TOPS & thats being generous

  • um dude look at the length of the body your probably looking at 160

  • wtf are you talkin bout look at that thats not 140 dumbass.... Thats like 165 maybe

  • short body skinny neck no shoulder definition- it's a nice buck but we're not talking live weight here.

  • wow you must really suck if you make a shot like that your lucky you were shooting a rage

  • typical nigger hunter

  • I shot a buck with rage 2 blade at 10 yards hit him real high above the kill zone got blood for about 300 yards then it just cut off still love my rage

  • I hope you found that deer

  • Nice buck!

Dont listen to the others. Mistakes happen. Last season i got a dow in the butt with a rage and she only went 100 yrds before i finished her off

  • Dont come to Roxboro. Ya'll are some no-shootin rascals.

  • You should not be allowed to hunt if you have results like this....HORRIBLE shot...I would be ashamed if it were me in this video. Go fucking PRACTICE...until you can hit a kill zone!

  • ha What are you doing shooting them in the ass? Just kidding. It happens to the best of us once in awhile. At least you were able to find the animal. Buck fever, it happens.

  • Do all of you fools think this shot was purposely made in the ass? Get real. That is why they call it buck fever.

  • @flhayz05 Good hunters don't get buck fever until after the shot, especially with such a small animal. I've shot a few dandy's, and there's no excuse for screwing up a shot that badly.

But kudos to you for staying with it and finding the animal after the hit...

  • @mightbeaduck im am the calmest before shooting a deer than anything, but i havent seen a big buck yet

  • Hey man, shit happens. Good thing you were using RAGE and not some other crap. You would have NEVER found it if you were using anything less.

  • everyone shut the hell up, he made a bad shot, shit happens, the deers dead no use in bitchin about it now.

  • Horrible freaking shot, you shouldnt even be able to own a bow. Absolutely nothing to be proud of and I would be asheamed to even video this. Both are morons !

  • lol, dude, your a terrible shot, or a dumbass? beautiful animal but it deserved to live, not get shot in the ass

  • i am all for hunting, but please, let's not cause the animals undue suffering. taking a shot like that is just plain irresponsible.

  • lol @ the people complaining about hunting.

People have been hunting since the dawn of man, you morons.

  • I sure would not be eating that meat if it were shot the night before, the leg is already stiff

  • HEY!! I hunt in Chatham CO, that's a great little buck congrats, I've had to shoot em in the butt like that before lol, but not with a bow.

  • Why would you "have" to shoot them in the butt at all? That makes no sense. You didn't "have" to shoot anything in the ass. You CHOSE to. Which is fucking stupid and unethical. Grow up. Accidents happen. But shooting them in the ass on purpose makes you a dipshit.

  • Ok fine, I lied. I've never shot a deer in the butt, my dad has . . . twice. I've never taken an unethical shot. That comment was made 4 months ago so I can't even begin to tell you why I would have lied about something like that.

    weird . . . .

  • lol i like all the anti-hunters that watch all the hunting vids. and comments on them, anyways more importantly the hunt nice job finding the deer, poorly placed shots happen and will always happen

  • If you are so anti hunting and anti kill then why are you even watching this video. I hate antis go eat another burger

  • not only is this a little ass buck . YOU ARE A DUMB DESPERATE HILLBILLY TO TAKE A SHOT LIKE THAT . I BET THAT MEAT TASTED LIKE SHIT . RETARD

  • This idiot should be shot in his ass.

I support hunting if respectable people are doing it.

  • dumb ass go back to shooting targets for a while

  • @tyson270win he was trying to hit an artery dumbass

  • you cant let this one fucking douche influence your ideas on hunting....99 percent of hunters are ethical and dont do shit like this...this guy doesnt deserve to be called a hunter...hes a shooter....there is a difference between shooting a deer and hunting a deer.

  • @Damico07 alot of times like on does i m very confident with my bow i shoot alot in te neck never had one run more then 60 yrds for the meat

  • @snowmofrk13 why would your confidence be different between a buck and doe....a safe shot is a safe shot....their vitals are the same at 5 yards as they are at 60....so you would rather ass shoot a doe at 60 but if it were a buck you would pass it up?

  • @Damico07 i dont shoot a big buck in the neck becuase if i want to get a head mount on it i dont have a hole in the neck they have to patch up. for does i shoot one or so a year to fill the freezer and i shoot them in the neck less fo a mess to gut and ruins no meat. i wasnt talking about yards on a the shot it is yards they run after being shot

  • @snowmofrk13 best spot to shoot a deer is right behind the shoulder...i never heard of someone saying shoot a deer in the neck...all the meet will be fine if you shoot the bottom third like 4 inches behind the shoulder....

  • @Damico07 shut the fuck up, and stop trolling you ass

  • @jar288 what i shouldnt say something when a guy ass shoots a whitetail?....do you even hunt?....i suggest you grow a set of balls before you speak to real men....

  • @Damico07 finally someone who is a smart hunter

  • @Damico07

  • @benthread deer produce very concentrated milk with a high fat content. the young only need to feed intermittently. This is in the summer after the rut and breeding is overthis is why you cant hunt during the summer.all the "FAMILY" talk is kind of BS..does push their fawns away in before winter.even if the fawn isnt capable of making it thru the winter.its just in their DNA..so i would use a different speach other than a deers "family" woes.did your mom push you away your first winter?

  • @Damico07

So during the summer, did your family mysteriously vaporize? And isn't all milk fed to infants "very concentrated" and only fed "intermittently" ? And don't deer still travel in herds at any time of the year? I mean, what kind of wannabe biologist crap is this? Dude, you're hiding out in trees, waiting on killing a creature for sport. You've got the advantage, there's nothing to it but cruelty and bloodsport. That just ain't it, man. You are one lost son of a gun.

  • Comment removed

  • @benthread lol....no deer dont travel in herds ALL YEAR....whats the difference in me killing a deer and me picking up a pound of ground beef at jewel?..i take pride in being able to provide food for my family...i dont order vegan food online or in some tree hugging store..if you dont hunt thats fine to each their own....but keep your opinions to yourself....you dont see me traveling to anti hunting videos and adding my to cents...your on youtube trying to make a difference?..whos the lost one?

  • @Damico07

Read my comment about how ppl post on here because they're pissed off and feel guilty if they let tuff guys like you kill and maim the animals (like the hero in this video clip) without standing up and putting in our two cents. If you don't want it public, then don't post it. But there ARE going to be people offended by the killing of innocent wildlife. And if you think everyone is OK with hunting, you need to leave West Virginia, or wherever the hell you are, for a bit.

  • @benthread you mean to tell me everyones not ok with hunting?....i realize that man...you say i need to broaden my horizon and leave WV....which ive never even been to....you anti's need to open your eyes that we all have a primal instinct to hunt and provide food....very few people can reach down and enter that part of their brain....you call it crazy sitting in a tree for 12 hours in 10 degree weather....i call it killing a deer so i can have venison for the next year...

  • Comment removed

  • @Damico07

You know what, even though I don't agree with the idea that you kill an animal, I will accept the "food" part of your argument, alright? I'm a vegetarian and I wish you were one too, but factory farming is much worse that this. Hell, you might be saving lives. But what about the assholes who shoot bears purely for sport? Lions, tigers, elephants? Where do you draw the line? Because the line should stop at eat what you kill. Period.

  • @benthread COMPLETELY agree with you....i have NEVER shot anything just to say i shot it....some guys go to africa and shoot those animals and cant even bring the meat back....they do it for trophy or sport.....i respect what your doing but you have to realize that not every hunter sits there and gets off on shooting stuff when it walks by....i dont like thresponsible and illegal hunters either...no one does....they are in a differenty calss all themselves

  • @benthread not having a go at u or anything but any animal shot in africa be it lion warthog impala or elephant the hunter takes the trophy yes but the meat is distributed among the local villagers its actually illegal not to take all parts of the animal in some countries of africa just a bit of a heads up. when i shot something i make every effort to take at least some meat for me or my dogs. just food for thought pardon the pun

  • @benthread haha...i see you like going video to video being an internet tuff guy...another anti sitting behind a key board ignorantly thinking he is making a difference by typing in a comment for self pleasure....listen...i can guarentee you not one hunter has ever stopped because the all mighty benthread posted a comment that really hit home....

  • @Damico07

Don't u worry, damico, I'm not the only one. There's a lot of us internet tuff guys out there. Lol. Who's the tuff guy? You?

No, the real men, women, whoever feel like it's necessary. It pains us to have to see this crap. That's what you don't get. We're not getting any "pleasure" from this. It's painful crap to watch. Those of us who've been raised to love animals find this barbaric, and it's hard not to get angry post a million times in defense of the innocent lives you take.

  • retards like that idiot give real hunters a bad name u dont shoot in the but never and then be stupid enough to post a video of it u must feel like an idiot

  • exactly...who the fuck shoots a deer in the ASS?!?!?...this IS unethical hunting...no wonder you had to track it for three hundre yards...you didnt come close to a vital...this kind of shooting shouldnt be allowed....and it is people like this that give us all a bad name...i am ashamed to be in the same category as this guy...

  • The goal of bowHUNTING is not to inflict suffering or excssive pain to the animal, but to quickly and cleanly take the animal, which is then put to good use to feed people and it prevents overpopulation and deer vs. motor vehicle accidents to boot. I can't believe that you would ever place animal life equal to human life. That is unreal. Do you kill spiders and ants...if so, what is the difference-where do you draw the line?

  • nice shooting ELMER FREAKIN FUDD!!! if you cant make a shot dont even bother goin out u freakin morons...thats freakin ridiculous...get out and practice u retards

  • Bad shot but the rage made up for it. I have the rage but didn't get to used them yet.

  • Thats the second time i heard the expression "Ray Charles could have found him." I'm definatly giving the rage broadheads a try next season.

  • wow, way to make all of us that bowhunt look bad.....obviously there was not enough light for you to take that shot based on the wonderful placement there.

  • hi i shoot a small buck 2 days ago with my 150lb crossbow at 15yards with a buzzcut in the same place as u did the bolt stuck in him i fold the blood for a 600 yards and then i stopped and waited for the nexted morning and he still isnt dead i seen him this after noon limping . after the shot he ran only 6 yard stud there looking around with the bolt sticking out he seamed like it didnt bother him i would like to get my bolt back

  • how pathetic is the guy iin the video & of course yourself!!!! never shoot an animal in the ass and hope for luck finding him... you even sound proud of it. wait for a high percentage shot or dont shoot at all... your ruining this great sport.... but what else would we expect from a xbow "hunter"

  • lol xbow hunter....a gun that shoots an arrow....how exciting lol...

  • yeah and i hunt with a paintball gun. shooting a deer with a bow is more of a sport than a rifle. Only people like the nut from savage wild would say something like that. So you and your savage weopon should stop complaning about people who shoot deer with a bow.

  • crackhead

  • since then i got a new crossbow the 175lb preditor and i now use only 2 blade rage broadheads i they cut a 4 in hole in them . they one deer i used the buzzcut i was aiming for the heart but the arrow hit a twig i seen it latter cut off it made the arrow go far left hiting the deer in the hip tha neighbor down the rood got it he seen the deer go acrossed the road and fell over and got it that how it goes

  • Some hunters...oh my goodness. I wonder how many percent of these hits result in coyote bait...?
