Good for her. Professional announcers have a responsibility to learn how individual names are pronounced. Sports announcers always (at least the good one's) go through the rosters and verify pronunciation before going on the air. The least this announcer could have done is verify the pronouncement of the names of scheduled speakers. Very unprofessional.
Eh, i think it's a bit easier to go around and verify a sports-team when all the players are located in one locker room. A bit tougher to do when the names you are going to announce are all arriving from every which way!
