most modern fighters and bombers have stealth. modern fighters/bombers from the modern world that is. stealth is fitted as standard. its like everyone getting excited about airbags in a car. you just dont do it anymore
The capability of avoiding radars is exaggerated. It's shape can avoid very old radars but can't do nothing with modern systems like s-300 or s-400. Thats why it retired already. As you know even old soviet s-75 system (Vietnam war time) shot down this plane in Yugoslav War

It took a good time to develope because we wasn't able to understand stealth and arodynamics at the same time. The B-2 Spirit on the other hand, is a beast on its own. Its by far, one of the most advanced bombers we have. Its a big fav too... But, there is one aircraft, the takes my first place, the SR-71 Black Bird, Beautiful aircraft. Holds hands with the B-2
@1bearcatf8f nope, we still use them out of the publics knowledge. The F-117 are used for small sortie missions(Special purpose). not used that often because there is not that much need for them. Alot less expensive to run than the B-2 as well. Normally, we use the new model F-22s and there stealth abilities for common sorties. If not the AC-130. But now thanks to our tech., we are able to advance a choppers ability to maintain stealth until a short distance.

its gonna be decommisioned this year, read it in a aviation book of mine, sad really there was gonna be a newer model but it was shot down in congress or wherever the hell they do business.
The only reason this was shot down was because the pilot had the weapons bays open. I guess he was going to drop a payload of bombs before he got hit. In an interview with the pilot, he said that he was trying to find where the missile was coming from before he was going to hit his decoy button, but he was too late. So the pilot kind of "assisted" in his own craft being shot out of the sky :)

@siralexu well locheed skunkworks originally inteneded the design to be a fighter aircraft but the airframe shape required to make the ship stealth using available technology in the late 70's made the aircraft highly unstable and unsuitable for figher/interceptor/air superiority duties, thats how it earned the nickname "the wobblin' goblin". not wanting to scrap the design they re-engineered it to be an attack aircraft but they never changed its fighter designation

The only reason this was shot down was because the pilot had the weapons bays open. I guess he was going to drop a payload of bombs before he got hit. In an interview with the pilot, he said that he was trying to find where the missile was coming from before he was going to hit his decoy button, but he was too late. So the pilot kind of "assisted" in his own craft being shot out of the sky :)
