Chris Kramer = best defender in the country! One of the top 5 greatest Boilermaker Basketball players of all time. That list would include: John Wooden, Rick Mount, Joe Barry Carroll, and "Big Dog" Glen Robinson. Hell of a list for Kramer to be included on! Boiler Up!
Few can match the flailing and floor burns. But just because he was on the ground so much, doesn't mean no one hustled as much. Cardinal never dud anything like that. But we can agree to disagree. If I had to pick one over the other, I'd take Cardinal because his offensive game was more refined and you can't teach height. But that's the only reason. Kramer is a special talent and this video, plus the floor shot show it.
@cwag07 Don't get me wrong... Cardinal is a Purdue legend... but Kramer is better. He has broke Cardinals steals record and has more Big Ten and National accolades in his resume.
That's exactly who I was thinking of when I made my comment.
Kramer reminds me a little of Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. Not the talent (duh), but rather the "I'll do whatever it takes to beat you, because I'd rather die than lose" intensity.
Sounds like an Indiana fan who just realized the miracle dream team that they thought they had this year is of an Ohio Valley Conference quality. Boiler Up!
You cannot really see it in my video, but there was another Purdue defender who was forcing the Tennessee player up against the sideline and the Tennessee player slowed up just enough for Chris to swat the ball.
That kid is always hustling, that's for sure...even when sliding down the floor...he must have slid 15 or 20 feet.
I will show my kids this video to teach them to play hard every second. I LOVE PURDUE

By the way, somebody has got to upload a better quality video and not a shaky, handheld recording of the TV screen.

Kramer is the kind of player you love if he's on your team, and hate if he's on the other team.

As big of a Vols fan as I am, I have incredible respect for Chris Kramer. That was an amazing play he made.

this was the best play I've seen in a long time, even better than his shot from his knees against Arizona in the 2007 tourney.
What a balla.

Wow, how did he catch up to the guy to swat it when he was belly surfing for fifteen feet and the other guy was running down the court?
fiveweight 2 years ago 2
I know haha, I have no idea how he caught up to him.
I think he's my favorite Purdue player ever, with The Big Dog, Jimmy "bankshot" Oliver, and Brian Cardinal up there as well.
