I'm guessing your running open headers. This is probably why it keeps dying out. You should get 3" exhaust no cats with an h-pipe or x-pipe. With an x-pipe more hp, with h-pipe more tq I got dyno books on 302's showing the results of both of these and with open headers. Open headers sounds nice but makes you loose alot of hp and tq. It also sounds like you got a cam, if so you need to get a chip from sct to tune your ecu, its running to lean and thats probably another reason truck is dying out.
