R2 is by far weaker compared to the 1st season. you can actually see Lelouch's plan at work in season 1 where as in season 2 they're all just seemingly stupid or being stupid. I also hated the fact that Schniezel is obviously plotting something against Zero but all we get is a grinning Schniezel with a panicking Zero. There's no details on how Schniezel's plans work the way they are. Mech fights were good but they're more gundamish than KMF-ish.

@6FlamingNinja9 plot was shallow too... in season 1 the Black Knights actually had a reason to fight. Not on R2 though. All Zero ever thought off was him falling into the hands of Schniezel and that he hates it. This scenario was played again and again till he gained control of Schniezel. Though, the very reason why Lelouch had to do what he had to do in the end very much balances it. It was an epicly noble act... XD

@6FlamingNinja9 Well last I had heard, they are currently working on more Code Geass manga, but unfortunately in a different time frame without our favorite characters. Only C.C.

As for Lelouch, it's hard to say. That last scene where people say C.C. was supposedly talking to the driver, I don't agree with that. The way she talked reminded me more of the way she always talked to Lady Marianne. I think it's possible his Geass could've developed the same kinda power and was alive the way she was.

Gawain was made first and was actually a "test" model that prince Schneizel built. Gawain was used as an model for Galahad, Gareths, and a few other Knightmare frames.

Question I've just realised.

Gawain was developed before the float system the Lancelot is using, surely even with Gawain stolen, the data of the flying ability of Gawain is still held.

Speed is clearly not the concern with it, so it's just needing to fly. Gawain can sustain flight for a long period of time compared to the float system. Does this mean they went backwards from developing the Gawain to the float system? Doesn't sound right to me. :/

The Gawain and the Float System are basically the same tech, since they were made at the same time. However, the Gawain is massive, at least twice as tall as the Lancelot and much heavier, which is why it moves slower. The Float System merely counteracts gravity; it uses fuel thrusters to move, but that much mass is difficult and slow. However, the Gawain, thanks to its size, has a much high energy capacity than the Lancelot, allowing it to fly for much longer than the Float System.
