  • hay mate, really awesome work, that was an intense red you got there and the serpants were great. *****stars & Fav'

  • not serpants, Farfalles. They have a small hole drilled through both sides of one end of a small tube. A nail is put through the hole, and composition is then rammed or pressed in and the nail removed. it makes a butterfly wing shape when the sparks fly out both holes, hence the name Farfalle, the italian word for butterfly.

  • hu, I thought the inserts were called serpants and the entire thing its self was called a farfalle, interesting, thanks for that.

  • yeah, they are so freaking sweet. Its called a farfalle shell, so you right with that, but its because the inserts themselves are farefalles.

  • Cheers. Yeah I really like these things and am going to make try one our as my first canister shell, lol, big jump I know, but I want to.

  • It was my first cannister as well but it worked pretty well:) But i made the farfalles differently, I just rammed the composition and then drilled a hole through the tube with a hand operated drilling device. Blackmatch is then put in the holes and secured with tape.

  • yeah thats what I was thinking, I always thought it was just one hole as well. and I think I will do it that way, maybe, I'll get more information befor I try.

and you made a good choice of first canister shell mate.

  • you need a hole through the entire tube, so you get two holes i used 5/8 inch pvc and drilled a 4mm hole through the tube.

  • Oh ok, well, I'm glad I know know that, lol, that could of cause some problems, cheers

  • Dude !

Amazing shell good ,job on the on the break and farfelles ,the red and inserts matched up very well.
