I'm looking to upgrade my power supply, and my graphics card, budget around 300$.

i was referred to the Radeon 5770.

What's your guys opinion?

i don't know much about your CPU and it how perform VS other CPU , but i can say that the GTX260 will be a little bit faster than the 5770 but it can't do DX11. The 5770 support the newest API : DX11 so it's up to you if you want a future proof video card.

I think i'm going to get a 5770, then whenever i'm ready, i'm going to crossfire x2 5770.

oh! The 5770 takes about 400W, if i crossfire them. would i need 800w?

howlar check out some drivers cause with your system you should run this game with ultra settings. i run it ultra settings with inte q9400 and ati 4870hd and i got great perfromance.

Maybe you can help me out. I have a HIS 4870X2 and Fallout 3 scans my PC and selects the 'High' setting, I know Ultra high is possible, but when I put it on Ultra High (at 1920x1080) I get horrible performance. I have an i7 920 @ 3.6GHz so I know there is no bottlenecking happening. Is this a hardware or a software problem?

think i sorted it i turned the refresh rate from 75hz to 60hz on the graphics control center as i didnt know what the difference was lol

i turned my water options to low and turned off fullscene reflections and full detail reflections off and everything to MAX and it worked fine, before even if i put everything on low and water on high i would crash, maybe water is to much a toll on computers?

Silky smooth performance at those settings - but then again the 4870x2 can do this game well right up to 2500*1600 with 8* MSAA & 16* filtering

How many frames do you get?

60 FPS. Due to vista you can't go faster than the refresh rate...which is 60hz (LCD)

My spec is : CPU E8400 3Ghz@4.1Ghz , 4 Gig RAM

4870X2 2GB video card,Vista 64Bits. I play the game at 1920x1200 4AA 15AF at Ultra Quality.

Can't you get x24 AA with catalyst controle and BTW how many frames would I get on a reguler 4870?

yes i can get 24x if i want but why i would need it at 1920 x 1200 ? with just 4x AA there is no jaggies at all at this resolution. You should be able to get playable framerate on a single 4870 at this resolution.
