I can't wait to get back on sc2 for sum laddering. These tips really help improve my game exponentially. I know the tips are geared towards application in sc2 but some of the basic skills like watching the minimap while u macro, thinking while you play transferring pretty well into bw skills too. I used to play at 140 apm, alot of spam, EAPM=~40, Now i easily play every game at 200+ apm, EAPM=~110+. much less redundancy and don't feel stressed at all ingame. thanks day9

I liked that you mentioned how the expansion is 400 minerals down the sink, but when you consider that every extra probe you buy also needs to pay for itself, the actual 'cost' for an early expansion is ridiculous.

@PowerHeal00 my point is, whilst Day9 is correct 400 minerals is a MASSIVE investment, each probe you build takes longer and longer to pay for themselves, (the first takes over a minute GT to pay for itself), if you have oversaturated your main or start building probes at your second, it takes even longer just for each probe to pay for itself before you get any 'profit' from the expansion.

Hey im a new subscriber to your channel, great vid Day9 although when talking about an expansion, its generally not just 400 minerals - its 400+ say 16+3+3 = 22 or 1100 minerals, so to expand and decently saturate it, its a total of 1500 minerals but i get your point, which is why when ever i see a fast expanding opponent i do either of what you said (depending on my army size at that time, if my macro is up to par that day lol) very informative daily though :D

Well, u can use a CC to build SCVs and it gives u some Supply...its like a very expensive Depot.....And it can fly, so u can scout with it...And if it has not been morphed, u can use it as an SCV Dropship! I think that thing is pretty versatile!

With shield's up it's minus 2 damage from the guardian shield and then minus whatever the shield armor is (until the shield is down). When shield's are down it becomes minus 2 damage from the guardian shield and then minus whatever the armor value is.

50:10. I rally my barracks, factories to 3-4 units in my attacking army with shift-rightclick. This brings the new units direct to the battle and they will instantly join in attacking when they get close to their rally unit, and stay following the rally unit AND attacking for the rest of the game.

if a rally unit dies I press the barracks hotkey and shift rightclick a few more units, so the reinforcements always keep coming.

I have hardly EVER seen anybody use this basic reinforcement strategy.
