  • i totally love is work!

  • Wow, I have the same video! ; -)

  • This film was very well made and offers a lot of inspiration. Today I got his book 'The World Through My Eyes'. Reading the book is a very kinetic experience. You have to look at the images in rapid succession to experience the full power of his work. It's like watching a film. You don't judge a film from a single shot, but from the accumulation of all the shots combined. Moriyama has really changed my perspective as a photographer.

  • @videochemist Wow! I just got the book a few hours ago, and you're bang on! I just keep flipping through it :)

  • @videochemist , interesting but I completely disagree. I think each image needs to stand on it's own.

  • @shawn33la Do you mean that as a general rule which should be applied to all photography, or are you suggesting Moriyama's images are strong enough to stand on their own? On the latter point, I do agree with that, I was merely suggesting an interesting way to experience the work in that particular book. But if you are suggesting certain rules have to be applied to any art form, then I am afraid you are missing the point. Many photographers create sets which lose their power when broken up.

  • Brilliant.
