  • KoRn fields of popkorn

  • Been playing this in my car for about a month. LOVE GWEN!!!!!

  • living in the tragic kingdomm!

  • This is the best work on the album and why it is also the title track. I still to this day think this is a one of their best compositions. It is indeed a dark and different twist from the many pop hits they have put out, but that is what makes it stand out to me.

  • Certainly not one of their better efforts, thus last on the album.

  • they plagiarized star wars theme at the very end just listen

  • @Scatman1701 Actually right at the very end Eric Stefani plays The Simpsons tune that Lisa does on the sax idk if you guys remember but he was one of the drawers for the show in the earlier seasons.

  • Fifteen years of listening to it and I'm still impressed by Eric Stefani's imagination.

  • @SamildanachEmrys Yup, this one was a true monster when it came out. I remember having this on cassette, and each side ended with 'The Climb' and 'Tragic Kingdom', respectively. Whenever someone would comment on the band being 'sugary and poppy', I'd shake my head...then Eric left, 'Return of Saturn'/'Rock Steady' were released, and they shook their heads back and made me eat my shoes...

  • @Numonkei Same here. I had it on cassette too, and I always championed No Doubt as being better than everyone thought they were. But they were never the same after Eric left...

  • Esta increible el final, que banda mas buena ! ojala vuelvan hacer lo antiguo algun dia...

  • This will always be my favorite song.

  • This was No Doubt's best album ever! And the best songs were those not played on the radio!

  • man no doubt was the soundtrack of my childhood... glad it started out like that!

  • Who else is watching this because of NCS?

  • NintendoCaprisun brought me here

  • Has an almost Mr. Bungle-y air to it.

  • the only bit i find slightly annoying is the ending

  • @hondansx1000 Brilliant, because I really like that part how it goes faster and faster. Really builds up some pressure

  • @HenkJovialusDikkus your entitled to your own opinion fair enough

  • @HenkJovialusDikkus me too! what are the bpm for that part?

  • @gamemaster52 Haha, really no idea.

  • No Doubt was one of the first bands I liked when I got into music for myself. I have since moved on to other music but this song is still my favorite of theirs. Dark and chaotic! I wish they went in this direction more!

  • Listen carefully. This is not (just) a song about Disneyland or Disney Inc. or even "Disneyism." This is a song about something =much= bigger... Or just go on watching the tube and texting away about nothing meaningful.

  • @naughtmoses right, but it uses Disneyland as basis of it's metaphor - duh.

  • this has the best sound!

  • Thanks for uploading this. We need regular people to upload songs. VEVO has raped Youtube and is killing it. They see something becoming popular and advertisers sink their bloody claws into it and destroy it. I HATE IT!

    SCREW VEVO. VIVA NO DOUBT.

  • @Barfetta3000 Because of vevo the songs being uploaded eventually get taken down anyway. I guess this song isn't on vevo,so that's why it's still up. This reminds me of the days of napster, vevo is beneficial to more established artists because they want revenue from their consumers, but for smaller artists or lesser known songs, regular people sharing music helps lesser known artists/songs gain recognition.

  • @EraserMonster First 2 sentences: Youre fucking retarded and have no idea what youre talking about

Second 2 sentences: Any band can upload their OWN music to youtube...

  • @atbestvague Haha, okay, whatever you say. I know you didn't comprehend any of it.

  • @Barfetta3000 I agree Totally!

  • gwen is my queen always and forever

  • NO DOUBT! YEAAHH!!

  • so cool

  • My utmost favourite song of No Doubt.

  • i just found out tht my fav.celeb LeightonMeester loves this song lik me.she said in an interview this was her first fav.album!YAY♥

  • The Disney Kids who (unlike so many of the others) =saw= what was going on and got the #*!! out.

  • there used to be something to this band i mean they're not super talanted their lyrics are a bit silly and the chorads and the hooks but they used to have this wierd energy and positiveness and something raw...they changed with the return of saturn it was a very sucky album rocksteady was a bit better but sucked too

  • @sergsfault did you really spell weird wrong.

  • @dearestlove101 and chords

  • @sergsfault LOL

  • gwen stefani <3

  • I love the end ;D

  • I hope their new album is like TK :)

  • I still the remember the boots she is wearing on this album. Soundtrack to my toddler/elementary life for sure.

  • this song is like sex with Gwen herself. Awesome and orgasmic

  • @Kruegerisgod That is very gross and inappropriate kid.

  • @TheCaptainQuantum it's a joke

  • @TheCaptainQuantum lol children don't understand how to express themselves in educated ways without mentioning something sexual.

  • @dearestlove101 I'm no kid I am someone who just loves this Gwen and wants everyone hear to know that even if it's sexual.Everyone thinks about sex you supposed Adult

  • 7 PEOPLE LIVE IN A HAPPY KINGDOM

  • This song just kick ass!!!

  • demented clown show song....I LOVE ITTTTT

  • @chilipeppers29 You have NO idea! Boy did you hit the nail on the head!!! GREAT TUNE!

  • fuckin love no doubt

  • simply classic!!

  • my favorite no doubt song ever

  • I personally liked Rock Steady...but this is by far one of the bests.

  • song about walt disney.....cool

  • lol i just noticed at the very begining there is music from snow white, its in the back ground :)

  • @illel7j music from snow white ?

    what do you mean

  • ugghh i love the emotion when she starts singing 2:08 <333

  • 2:06 - 2:33

  • @GeoTrans89 The best seconds!

  • Even though this song is about Disneyland, I think it describes the fall of Disney (when the Disney Renaissance ended) better.

  • very instrumental

  • Brilliant.

  • Great Song :D

  • @1999Tierfan1999 without a doubt

  • good album...artful, conceptual, innovated, tasty, well recorded, with talent from every member...as I said before the only time I liked to hear distorted guitar...Im not a classic Bethoven fan, Im a Reggae, Ska Jamaican fanatic.

  • I love this album and remember going to a signing at the tower in tustin when it came out. "his tears are frozed stiff, icicles drip from his eyes" is a play on the myth that walt was frozen and resides under DL grounds somewhere.

  • awsome song just awsome!

  • this song is actually about disneyland...

  • @theorenj

She lived RIGHT BY IT, the title itself is a play on "The Magic Kingdom", and she's talking about dwarves and the Electric Parade. It couldn't really be about anything else.

  • This is truly a masterpiece album. Just amazing. Not many bands can be called that in my opinion.

  • such a great song! my favorite part is 2:06 to 2:17

  • @stacyracy Yeah, mine too! I used to listen to just that piece over and over again! :p

  • @Amberkerkhof yep i did that too! lol

  • i'm not a NB fan. But this is a really good song

  • @Colddeed ND not NB.SONG KICKS ASS

  • 5 people missed the like button

  • yeah i was roaming through some cds from some collage kids that gave away a whole case and i found this one! (along with the return of saturn). its so awesome! too bad its all scratched up pretty bad and skips every now and then. :) i love this song, im glad i found that cd!

  • I love how this song is so epic. This is probably one of the most unique songs I've ever heard, actually. Too bad it's so underrated.

  • I just remembered this song. I used to love this song the most off this album. I can't believe I almost forgot about it.

  • SAVED THE BEST TRACK FOR LAST

  • it sounds like a carnival ride!

  • @wcoss1234567 The voice track at the beginning is from The Matterhorn ride at Disneyland.

  • I honestly love how she sings "Corn fields of popcorn have yet to spring open" xD

  • what a fucking good song.

  • great song. I bet this sounds amazing when they perform it live.

  • Agreed, their best album. Stefani's vibrato was more tuned in back then.

  • It's funny because of all of the songs on the CD this is the one I remember least. And yes this was a masterpiece.

  • I LOVE this song, the first time I listened to it I almost began to cry because it is so great... :')

  • yeah Wenindobtukisscraig@ ur right although rock steady is pretty cool it messed up the WHOLE reputation!

  • i love all of no doubts albums!! they were all great!!

  • some1 shuold post the lyrics on here, i doNOT understand what she is saying...

  • @Plantguy19 That happens because they encoded this video with mono audio and this was originally recorded in stereo and Gwen´s voice gets lost within the margin of audible data being ocupied by those frequencies pertaining to other instruments like guitars, bass and drums. Mono audio sucks but allows the video to load faster. Buy the CD it comes with a booklet with lyrics! :p

  • okay thanks

  • @Plantguy19 Or you could always look the lyrics up on google..

  • LOVE this! that's all i have to say

    <3

  • i just recently got into no doubt, and this is the first time i'm hearing this song.....just have to say AMAZING tempo change at the end there :)

  • hahaha no, i can spell and i don't pick fights over the internet.

    ps. **are

  • no im sorry i wasnt tryin to be a dick. i just meant like this song/band has been out forever, how could you not have heard of them to til... hence the remark about you age... lol.

  • oh right. what i meant was that i have heard of no doubt for quite a while, but i've only recently started listening to more of their music.

  • love this song

  • I miss this ND, hopefully they get back to their roots for their new CD.

  • They went on tour last year I think... Might still be touring and said they would work on an album! :)

  • Eh, for me... I think Rock Steady was pretty lame, but I liked it.. Then her first solo album's only great song was "Whatcha Waiting For" and the rest just went downhill :(

  • It's a pity Eric left the songs he wrote/co-wrote are their best songs by miles.

  • i can only find my three album jackets.. miss this man!! tempo changes make this track a viable rockband power track not enough girl rock tracks

  • wot

  • one of the best albums of the 90s.. too bad they fucked up with Rock Steady. No offense, No Doubt will still remain one of my fav's.

  • @Wenindoubtukisscraig i think both albums are pretty awesome

  • these albulm was one of the best

  • this was always my favourite song on the album... I wonder where my copy of the CD is... I swear I found it a couple years ago...

  • Yeah, it's my favorite too. It's just an awesome song :)

  • ah! i have two copies of this album! yum!

  • I picked up the Matterhorn spiel @ 0:08.

  • Hello people, I just want to say that I made a video for this song based on her story by placing photos according to their lyrical, so I hope you like and comment.

    Greetings from Argentina

  • Crap, I bought my copy of this CD used and it freaks out during the last 30 seconds of the song, sounding utterly horrible.

  • god this album takes me back! she's come along way since this ay.

  • reminds me of Rush

  • WTF??? How did Gwen go from making good songs like this to that "hollaback" BS she did a few years ago?

  • she sold out...

  • Because the Don't Speak video is a true story

  • I was high as fuuuuuu at my friend's party this weekend and hadn't heard this song in forever.

    Damnit, good times!

  • Too bad "Redurn of Saturn" was their last real album...

  • this song is about disneyland and it is so true too " hypmotised by fireflies that glow in the dark and midjets that disguise themselfs as tiny little dwarfs" wow thats deep dude. walt would not want disneyland to be the way it is 2day. Welcome to the trajic kingdom of disneyland!

  • Holy crap. I never thought of that. I guess then the "icicles drip from his eyes line" refers to Walt being cryogenically frozen.

  • love this song very much *mnjuh*

  • I'm loving all of no doubt's songs. every single one of dem!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one of the best songs ever written on oneof the best ever albums!

  • This album was their masterpiece. By far their best.

  • @Adino1 I disagree. I would say that Return of Saturn was better. However, Tragic Kingdom was second best easily.

Of course, Tragic Kingdom was a huge hit.

  • @ArchdukeJames You're on drugs or Australian. Tragic Kingdom is the best, for sure.

  • i love this!

  • One of the best tracks ever made IMO.

  • I concur!

  • the soundtrack of my live ^^

  • Whoa, my first time listening to this song, and it is AWESOME!

  • i love this song!!!

it applies to alot of shows i watch LOL!!

  • welcome to the tragic kingdom

  • this song is about disneyland...its so true. sad, but true...

  • I thought it alot more political meaning to it, but your statement sounds more correct.

  • cool, one of the best no doubt songs, powerful solo!!!

  • im so exited I get to see gwenny gwen gwen

  • more memories of a fantastic band.

    shoots and ladders style

  • i'm in a play and the opening dance is set to this song. we have 80 people doing the dance at once. it's veary cool. if woundering what play is its alice in wounderland.

  • As far as her songwriting goes this is by far the best song she ever wrote...

  • Her brother, Eric wrote this song. But, I agree, No Doubt writes great songs!

  • I remember stealing this CD from my mom when I was about 5. I listened to it day and night, and this song was always my favorite....I think I lost it though. I never gave it back and haven't seen it since I was like 7 -_-

  • dude this song fuckin rox!!!!!!!(;

  • My favorite song on the album, and the most underrated.

  • same

  • This song should totally be a single. By far their best song.

  • @FruitpunchFTW I agree, this song so totally should've been a single, I bet it would've been #1.

  • i like this song but it kinda creeps me out like a thriller or something. i love no doubt though! classic ND.
