That's probably because they are better than single player. With no AI to render and with much of the in game processing being shared by the all the different wii systems there is a lot more processing juice left to focus on frame rate and other graphical effects.

This trailer, this online mode, saved the game from beeing a flop. I remember before this trailer that many people weren´t impressed with this game. After reading some comments on gametrailers, PS3 and 360 owners like it.

well one thing i like about friend codes is that random people can't send you friend invites, I personally prefer to voice chat with only people i know in real life. I don't like voice chating with people i don't know.
