@amsd1231 lol...Federer is what you call a marathon man. Year after year, year after year, every year since early in 2K he has taken part in every single grand slam. And he does not 'just' appear. He sometimes finishes as well.
Tennis, in all its history, has not seen a more better and more brilliant long haul tennis player. Taking into account todays physically demanding game, one has to be convinced that no matter how talented or good any bodies game is / was, Federer still sweeps them clean.
@AjCHX I don't doubt Federer's greatness, and yes I agree he is the best player to ever play the sport, but you have to admit that from 2003 to 2007 he had no real challenges. Considering Safin's natural talent and his style of game, I do not think Federer would have had that period that he could finish "well" in a grand slam event without anyone ever really challenging him.
@amsd1231 If, if, if.... If my mother would have balls, she would be my dad. Mental toughness also is a part of a good player. What you say, is like you would say, if federer had karlovics serve he would be even better like he already is...makes no sense
@Sen1Sky The lines person has to call after he hit it because if he threw it up and caught the ball realising he was stepping too far over, it wouldn't have been a fault.
@Sen1Sky Yup, I'm pretty bad, but if you have nothing better to do than to bash my game, then you've realized how wrong you were in the previous point. ;-)
@Genanker Foot fault – a fault caused by the server stepping across his base line or the center line before striking the ball with his racquet." It doesnt matter if his back foot goes past after he HITS the ball. Hence the judgement on this one was wrong. Safin did everything correctly.
wtf at 1.54 that wasn't even close to a foot fault

gotta love his wife with all that plastic surgeries.

Federer's lucky Safin didn't have his mental constitution. If he had, Federer never would have enjoyed his reign of dominance.

@amsd1231 People like you are why I believe tennis fans are the most dense and ignorant of any sport.

@amsd1231 All that aside. Safin will always be the king of kings, for lots of other reasons

Wow they clearly showed that it was not a foot fault, I think players should be allowed to challenge foot faults
Sen1Sky 11 months ago
@Sen1Sky Center-line foot-fault, not a baseline foot-fault.

@JonnySV wtf are you talking about
Sen1Sky 3 months ago
@Sen1Sky He crossed the center-dash during his motion, hence the footfault.
JonnySV 2 months ago
@JonnySV yes but after he hit it, you have a lot to learn about tennis

@Sen1Sky Pause at 1:20, it's a close one, the lines person may have got it wrong but maybe not. Safin has a tendency to get very close.

@Sen1Sky Commentators said it was a foot fault on the middle line, not the back line, thats why we dont see it.

@Jaewon12345 His back foot went past the centre mark on the baseline which is why it was called. Same thing against Federer in Aussie Open 2009
