What HDMI cable do you use? Is it the same? From my experience, HDMI cable have a lot of impact with PS3 picture quality.

@bsan89 Greetings Bsan...it's been a while!! Yeah you can definitely notice a difference, although it usually takes a discerning eye to spot differences in the higher-end players!

@mfd564 lol....I think you are right. It IS time to step up the camera! I've been using this Flip for 3 years, and everything else has changed since then--except the camera! An update is coming soon (hopefully). Glad you like the vids!

very nice video. i am thinking of getting a new br player and was considering the oppo 95 and wanted to compare it to my ps3 so thanks for your video. 1 thing would you say that the ps3 has more picture noise compared to the oppo which claims to have little to no pic noise.

@C815richard Greetings.....I would say neither has "picture noise" at noticable levels. That's more likely to be blamed on the display than the optical source, although there are some noisy players out there on the lower end of the spectrum (an old Sharp Blu Ray Player I had years ago comes to mind.) Both players here (PS3 & Oppo) are superb! The video processing in the 95 is the same as it is on the 93, so if you're not into heavy analog listening, the 93 will do juuust fine!!

forget all this im waiting to get my hands on a sony vpl-vw1000es 4k truly commercial projector for a home theater priced at around 20k - 25k. Sony announced they are working on 4k content and should be available beginning 2012 WOW

@stryker7x for $20-25k you can get a JVC RS65 and still have money leftover for a Classe' SP-5200 w/ Anthem Statement D2v. The infancy isn't worth $25k. In a few years, perhaps. But not now.
