@fliperfil Hmm, the guitar on this song is pretty melodic. Also, when I compare this to Hangar 18 and Return to Hangar form the same DVD, I see incredibly intricate and diverse guitar work. Also, I play this stuff myself. It's bloody good heavy metal guitar.  Megadeth and Alterbridge are two of my favourite bands for this reason. That and both bands put thought into their lyrics.

I'd say that Megadeth is more infuential than Slayer or atleast earlier. (they started first)

Umm, no. Risk was written like a pop record because Marty was more interested in that type of music. Dave said that the album was greatly influenced by Marty. So, they did not "sell out"... they created music that they wanted to. And, besides... they returned to heavier roots with TWNAH, TSHF, and UA.

GLEN to me is the best Guitarist to hit megadeth and i am sad that he is gone!! To me and others He was Faster, Smoother and Had more style then Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine said it himself at the Namm Show. Glen Changed up everyones solos and made them harder to play because he didnt want to play the same old stuff over and over again.
