You can get 3ds max from discreet software. This program costs about $3500. If your a student, you can get a cheaper version, but its a very spendy program to have if you just want to mess around.

Hey screenracer:

Nice anim there... I just discovered Madcar recently, but im not able to set up the car in way that reactor ragdolls works with it. My guess is that you used a dummy mesh similar to the car for the collision right?...if not tell me please how you set up the car and the ragdoll so it works with reactor.

The trick is when you run the madcar simulation. while your driving around, and you run down the rag doll, it will not move. After you finish the madcar part, dump the reactor to keys. That way when the car body (that you have applied reactor settings to) runs down the rag doll it goes flying :) Hope this helps.

Sure looks like it, but My shadows look nothing like that.

Use light tracer and the default settings. Then go to the lights tab and only add one skylight to the scene. That's it... Try putting a box over a plane a do a test render. Good luck :)

I tried stuff like this.. I thought you just needed to set the ragdoll to unsimulated until something else reacts with it.. but when I did that only the parts that got directly hit reacted, and the arms/hands were still locked floating in worldspace. What do I do?

Make sure you link the objects in the rag doll with a hinge or join.
