I had this pedal. It will nail the live at Leeds tone, when pushing an overdriven sound.It sounds terrible when on a clean channel. I now have the Formula 76 from Soldigoldfx, which is even nastier an more versatile. It's more like an Ibanez Standard Fuzz.

LOL, when he does the Leeds vs. Loose comparison and is playing "Captain Walker" a la the My Generation jam... The so-called Leeds setting sounds like Smashing Pumpkins or something in the last 10 years (which is cool, but not my point here...), then he goes to the "Loose" setting and it sounds just like the Live at Leeds sound. LOL again.

i need help with picking a fuzz can anyone offer help? I liek early zeppelin, cream and hendrix. Ive looked at a univox super fuzz, a MK2 tonebender the analogman sun face, the mjm china and the mjm brit bender help anyone?

I'm looking for the same thing in tone, and I found the MJM Foxy Fuzz to be the best. I was looking at a silicon-based Sun Face, or the Devi Ever Hyperion, but the Foxy Fuzz took the cake. Just go with what your ears tell you what's best. Plus, it's really a combination of both amp(tubes, pre-amp, and wiring), with speakers like Greenbacks, and with guitars that have good tonewoods(Whether you use a strat or an LP), and the kind of pickups you use(handwound or machinewound) that matter too.

@peacemusic17 the britbender or tonebender mk2 is the one jimmy page used.

jimi and clapton used a fuzzface.If u wan't clapton and hendrix sound, go for the mjm london fuzz germanium version (red one) :)

@Nimrod9458 clapton shouldn't be in that group. i dont remember him playin a fuzz face but he probably did. to get the sound of them u are right with the london fuzz. when i think of brit or tone benders i think of jeff fuckin beck!!!!! page pretty much copied his tone with the yardbirds and played it on his first album.

These SuperFuzz-type pedals really aren't for everyone. They are very comressed and harsh. I prefer muffs, but I could probably use this for something.
