  • donde esta el motor?

  • @jaywildman69

Well sikorski who invented (first working) helicopter was russian too.

Tsaristic regime labeled him "crazy" too, but americans not only liked his crazy idea, but they funded him!

And they were first to enjoy the choppers!

  • WOW.

  • That's awesome

  • Question !!!!!!!!!??!! how did the propeller turns ??? it has no engine i dont see it .. thanks if anyone can tell me

  • @zero00tolerance

It's not a chopper or helicopter which has got a engine et can lift off the ground verticaly, it's a sort of gyroplane which has just free blades moving by the relative wind obtained by the run launch. this free moving make all the device left the ground.

  • Heads will Roll!!!!!!

  • top man!

  • no dobry bajer;)

  • I guess there is no anti-torque rotor needed since the main rotor is not being driven by an engine, right?

  • There's no motor and I can't see the cable but I'm pretty sure the car speeding away is towing it up. The rotor then autorotates to produce the lift as was mentioned below. Once up, the towline is disconnected and it just autoroates down.

  • Big Brass balls on this dude!

  • 1 2 3 not it!!!!!

  • screw the critics, that was awsome, films in the can, don't do that again.

  • How does this work ?.. is there no engine ? :)

  • @Dubconferencedotorg

I think it works on gods will. :D

  • @Dubconferencedotorg there is no engine but lift is attained by auto-rotation

  • These guys have to be from the UK.They have to.They remind me of my good ol' friend Anthony Freame who lives in Norwich,England. He's in his 70's but this is something nutty he;d try to do ! AWESOME !

  • she did a worderful job on her landing

  • Somewhere between extreme bravery, brilliance and madness. I don't know what is scarier; the fear of falling, or the cold.

    In any case, I'm impressed.

  • Just a normal autogyro nothing impressed. Look at 00:37 you can see it's towed by a truck. offcourse no motor at the main blade , that's why called as autogyro. simply read the title, it's towed.

  • @TheMrmujid indeed y are right. i did n noticed... better y didn t noticed too. ...:)) it was so beatiful not to be towed :))

  • Where is the motor?

  • Auto-gyros are just the strangest flying machines, wonderful to see.

  • that's f**king epic :D

  • isnt it towed?

  • holy big balls batman!!

  • I want one.

  • thoz blades are not blades at all

there thin long wingz, u no wen a plan fallz it getz wind faster. that faster wind max it glid 2 the ground. al he done the hole time waz glide. he just had to be in a place with a up draft.

  • That is too cool.

  • looks like a great way to get chopped to pieces

  • okay so how did that work lol where's the engine?

  • Use a searchengine or a dictionary and look up autogyro or gyrocopter ;-) It is basicly a hang glider that uses a rotorblade instead of a kite construction. The running will initiate the spinning, and the rest is done by wind, thermic and such.

  • There is no engine genius... Hence the glider bit in the description

  • @superjezz ; cool, tell me how it works then :)

  • @keyte009 Google it.

  • @keyte009 thoz blades are not blades at all

there thin long wingz, u no wen a plan fallz it getz wind faster. that faster wind max it glid 2 the ground. al he done the hole time waz glide. he just had to be in a place with a up draft. oh wind hasta go up through da bladez or it wont work

  • Man, you are brave. I'm surprised it can lift your testicles, let alone their owner.

    Bravo.

  • fantastycznie !!!

  • fantastycznie !!!

  • Who want to buy it?

I can do a kit of this kite giro. How many you get pay for it?

  • Oh... and where can I get one - or the components to build one.

  • Now that is really interesting ( if a bit too close to power cables). Having taken a trial flight in an autogyro and read about World War II trials with auto gyro gliders I have theorised that you could foot launch from a hill with a good 15-20 mph breeze to get the rotar going and fly just as a hang glider, with the added bonus of cutting through turbulance.

If anyone knows more or any thoughts on this post a comment.

  • what the fuck is that?

  • no engine , it's a kite giro !!!!!

  • ok now ........ where is the engine ????

  • there is no engine, he is being towed allong by a car.

  • wow,amazing...

  • Wow! lol really nice. He went for it and made it.

  • How Carry Fat Man. Mybe fall like rock.

  • the tow is for take off, just like a glider

  • auto gyros are awsome.safest flight possible.affordable flight tech. has been available for years.but how to manage air traffic?most people barely get a car down the road.imagine them in the air

  • badass

  • finchpaul it's a G L I D E R. No engine and it's being towed.

  • towing next to power lines = russian safety

  • all for its gyro!!

    renesolans(point)blogspot(point)com

    beutifull page.

  • Where the hell is the engine, just looks like a load of bars ????

  • i think there is a car towing it mate if you look carefully you can see it in the background

  • where can I buy one of those gyro-copter?

  • What is the glide ratio (air speed/sink rate) and the air speed of this foot launched autogyro glider? What is the all up weight?

  • MR BIGG NUTS great flying!

  • Excellent and well daring

  • This has GOT to be a VERY close contender for a Darwin Award !!!

  • absolutely awesome! anyone else tried this? perfect flare at end too!

  • Very clever and brave.Rough landing = new rotor blades.Too expensive for me.

  • Where is the engine?

  • There is none. When it takes off, it is being towed by a car which can be seen in the bottom left corner of the image. But as the caption says, it is a "glider", and as such has no engine. The rotation of the blades is induced by the airflow itself.

  • top man-bolshoye sposibo vam-super video,real pilot and passion,amazing!!!

  • Would hate for a rotor bearing failure...

  • I LOVE this video! Great film, and great gyrocopter. How cool would that be to take to a normal hang gliding site and start flying it around. It looks like it flies okay, sort of. But I think that after landing, one would not want to stand up very fast. And on launch, when the pilot says clear, he means it! Chop, chop.

  • try this machine near electric high tension's cable like at 0:35 is trying to commit suicide.

  • CRAZY MTF...!!!

  • I couldn't see any engine or somthing. how the wings were moving?

  • in an autogyro such as this one, the wind and the forward motion make the rotors spin.

  • This is one of the most incredible low cost flying contraptions I have ever seen. Amazing.

  • thanks for this video !

    Tres interressante video !!

  • Towing right next to a high-tension electric utility line. These guys have a substantial pair of testicles to do that.

    Are they still alive.

I want to build me a gryo glider.

  • Incrivel!! Excelente muito boa idéia! Parabens ao criador.

  • Anyone know of one of these could actually catch a light thermal and soar?

  • not "bigger wheels", it needs skis, including one on the nose in case he wants to grease one on without digging in and cartwheeling.

The black and white scene looks like one of those "Golden Age of Aviation" blooper reels.

    Russians have a different attitude.

Allow me to buy you a vodka, droog.

  • outstanding. I'd like to see bigger wheels so no need to run to launch, and it looks like he unloaded the rotor too much at about 1:06 then over corrected and flared too high but good grief this is amazing.

  • it's inpossible

  • it slices , it dices

  • There are men and there are real men. It would take a real man to fly that thing. I salute you.

  • If you do that again next to a POWER LINE I will kill you myself!

  • The German U-boats use to trail one of these durning the day so that a crew man could get a better look over the horizon. Called a Fa-330 Bachstelze. Think there may be a youtube on it.

  • Another advantage is that it's very doubtful your wireman will get in the way as you launch... at least not for very long.

  • Great job - russian inventors! Did you think of powering this gadget. Let's say by Radne 120 engine?

  • a Mosquito require the keel to be cut 120cm from the hangpoint.

  • How would you like to be this guy's wire man on a mountain launch? 'Clear glider' would have real meaning.

  • I see that he is using the correct grapevine grip transitioning to a bottle grip, very nicely done. I also see that the road is not visible under the snow so they track right next to the HIGH TENSION POWER LINES so they don't go off the road. (wouldn't want to go off the road!)

Nice landing with a 'Hi Mom' wave to the camera but I think he flared high at the end. That's OK, just line up next to the HIGH TENSION POWER LINES and have another go! Other than that, this man is completely insane.

  • quite possibly ranks as one of the nest youtube posts I've ever read

  • Holy Flailing Airplane Parts, Batman!! Can you say "balls the size of church bells"?

  • Awesome - a very brave man

  • could not help holding my breath.

  • Although it´s weird, it works.

    Great! But no thanks!

  • Mountain launching was probably not scary enough, let's launch it next to powerlines! ;-)

  • THAT is awesome! Might be pretty scary for a mountain launch, though!
