  • I need 3 of these!!! Where can i get them?

  • Hello, my name is Vinh, I am living in Japan!

May I ask that: is it possible for me to buy this product?

  • All I want is a reliable source for the geophone sensor. That looks like an SM7 micro. ION systems won't return email or telephone pricing inquiries. Does DAS sell just the sensor? That's all I really need.

    thanks

    Andy

  • Hello Andy,

The actual sensor is made in the Netherlands. The price quoted to us in quantities of 100 is $149 each. Anyone, who was lucky enough to pick these up at a discount price should appreciate what they are worth.

  • Wow! Probably why ION systems wont return my calls, lol. SENSOR inc is just plain nuts at those prices, there are DIY instructions for crude geophone sensors on the web. Hell, I was turned on to a company here in OKC that will sell the sensor for 47 dollars a piece, and I thought that was expensive. Guess I will try using accelerometers instead, given the scarcity of sensors out there.

    thanks

    Andy

  • Andy,

BG Micro a surplus wholesaler was originally selling the entire geophone kit, including pcb, LED's, LED Driver, etc. with the sensor for under $30. Once the "re-packaged" kit hit Ghost Hunters it quickly sold out.

  • You would need to contact DAS directly. The item is only available on a "built to order" basis right now. Thanks.

  • Is this Seismic detector prototype available for purchase yet on the DAS Distribution website? Couldn't seem to find it via the website?

  • I really like this! Great job!
